  1. On the downside they think they are better than you, and know what's good for you. Just like them god-damned liberals.
  2. I mock your wish to condemn people to hell, yes that's true. You are free to put Beelzebub's potion in your veins all you want, but don't expect others to follow suit. Many good people, including Christians are in support of this. They saw how the government closed churches while allowing liquor and weed stores to stay open. People's consumption of drugs and alcohol went way up. Some pastors went to jail for opening their church. One was even put in maximum security for such a relatively minor offence.
  3. People condemn themselves when they judge others. You posted the cartoon about condemning prisoners to eternal hell. Is that want you wish for us? And does not your quote above imply I am doomed to condemnation, being lost and blind, myself? Physician, heal thyself.
  4. Probably later, after you condemn me and other people to hell. Let us know who gets in.
  5. Taunting your opponent is not the same as wanting them to. For example you might put a gun to my head, and I say”go on, pull the trigger.” Then you will think about the consequences of your actions and not do them. Or you might do them, but face consequences you will. Therefore taunting is informing you, there will be consequences if you do. Not “hoping for”.
  6. I do not hope for things like violence. I hope the government comes to its senses. But it might be too late for that now. Think about what I'm saying there... too late. No they cannot ignore this for long. It's clear the strategy is having some effect, and the more trucks they send in to protest, the more lanes get blocked. Doesn't matter if you close the roads... that is the point after all. And with a funding platform that doesn't appear to be dried out, this could go on for a while. After this weekend we saw the rise of protests around the country and world. This is a movement of some significance. The media wants to keep it quiet, but other medias are watching with greater and greater interest. And as you know whatever gets the public attention, whatever gets mouse-clicks, sells the story. So this shit has wings. Thanks for the update about what the media told you. I gotta go workies now. Still waiting for the CPC to change their message on the protest then. They've got some broad as interim leader, and I heard she has a big mouth. So bring it then, bring it on.
  7. Otherwise, he may be in league with the devil.
  8. This is getting good. Bring it on, bro. j/k We know you're a faux christian anyway, as exemplified here...
  9. 1. We agree on a principle but not how it is implemented, or who to hold accountable for present circumstances. So we do not agree. 4. I don't see how the opposition leader being removed had to do with the truckers convoy, or Trudeau's image in his handling of this. I don't understand why you brought it up. I gave my opinion on it in the other thread. Maybe Mr. O'Toole was fired by the real puppetmasters, the people who run things. Maybe there's something rotten in the CPC, really rotten. It's like my pappy used to say, if it stinks like a liberal, don't take any chances. You know it is. Meanwhile our PM has to wear this crap on his face. Ottawa is his town, they are there to visit him. The whole world is watching, Mr. Trudeau. Let's see it. Tiananmen Now
  10. I didn't know that we agreed on something, but am also glad. We have not moved past anything at all. It's about the soundbite, and that one is resonating out there. I like many hard-working Canadians have daily obligations that keep me busy, so I can't make it up to Ottawa yet. And besides, I hear the parking is bloody murder. So I'm just watching the show. Sorry you don't like it, but don't blame the messenger. And until you realize the blame lies with government first and foremost, we won't agree. Looks to me like Trudeau really stepped in it. Finally. Now he's the one snarling in the microphone. This is also about the premiers. They all should be sent down to see the lord. Except Jason Kenney. Make him the next PM.
  11. I agree. Tell it to the government who acted out of line. this protest is to put them back in line. It's just a fringe group of course, a minority comprised of mostly racists and misogynists. People from Alberta, for example. They still wear cowboy hats, and not just to go dancing.
  12. Watching you people come around has been wondrous and awe-inspiring to behold. Looks like we have finally arrived. What took you so long?
  13. No need to believe me. Believe in yourself, I say. But if you do then you’re actually believing me, because you said so. You’ll get over it when you realize what Canadians are/ is: were. That means finding tolerance and making room for others, despite political differences. These values transcend politics in Canada. Or at least should. Maybe you people dont get that. That’s why what Mr. Trudeau said was fundamentally hate speech against an identifiable group.
  14. They say imitation is flattery, so if you want to believe that, have yourself a beautiful day!
  15. Good point... yes indeed and he admires the Chinese dictatorship. And now, as he learned from his dad... "Just watch me."
  16. "Come get us, bring it on. Make your moves"
  17. That's nice, so do I. I had a friend who drove an ambulance once. Well, patient mobility really.
  18. No, not do away with. The rights of the individual need to protected from corporations however, and governments must play a role in that. Democratically elected government shoud be calling the shots and shielded from corporate influence. Not some self-appointed board of directors. But I'm sorry I don't want to talk about this either, in deference to the thread - More hate-mongering from Mr. Trudeua.
  19. There's no dichotomy between being conservative and believing in fairness, equality and fundamental human rights. All conservative Canadians know this of course. Therefore I question your credentials, Sir.
  20. 1. Look at the consequence of being imposed upon in both cases. I don't care if you want to vaccinate or not, but it disturbs me that we are creating a separate underclass. I know people who make other "bad" choices, ones that are real bad not just controversially bad like not getting these injections. Heroin users, alcohol abusers are but one example. Their bad choices are looked upon with compassion but the choices others make are being treated quite differently. Some of these anti-vaxxers are people with poor mental health, for example and they have a lot of fear. While I support using education and discussion other options, use of government imposed sanctions on people who are more vulnerable seems wrong to me. That's why I am willing to pay more for their health care, just as I support health care for junkies. Psychological services is a whole other avenue of improvement in this, your brave new world. ... I don't feel like discussing health care with you, because you probably need to have everything proven. I've done that with links before showing the amount of money paid to hospital administration in the past twenty years, while the level of available beds has gone drastically down. That deficit has been a problem for years leading up to coronavirus, and added to our inability to cope with the inevitable outbreak.
  21. That's a good one. Lesson learned: Don't trust official funding mechanisms. That may include banks. But the more the government uses it's leverage unfairly, it drives people to look elsewhere. And sometimes elsewhere could be the criminal networks. So the government is stupid to block or ban the gofundme, when they could have kept the protest organizers above table and engaged. Now, they're a massive fund looking for a bank account to keep it. Evidence- the new fund they set up yesterday already earned a reported $1M in the first twelve hours. .... By now the government / political class are starting to crap themselves. This has ignited across the country, grown to something larger and more vague in definition. It is becoming the focus for pent-up anger over the shutdowns, but all being funnelled into one massive action. Mr. Trudeau would do well to keep his private plane on ready.
  22. Perhaps true but sounds pretty 'moderate' to me. You need to moderate your behaviour. We can be trained to minimize exposure to one another even without masking. Masking was not good the way we did it. Breathing techniques, speaking techniques, body positioning relative to others make more difference than blindly masking the ignorant. I prefer that we pay for more health care services, research into lowering transmission and also to be prepared for future outbreaks. Something we didn't do the last time during SARS-1. Despite much government bravado and grandstanding... and despite the pathetic taxation system in Canada and costly, bloated bureaucracy. The health care system is filled with overpaid executive types. The administration in hospitals needs to be culled. Demolish their office spaces and rebuild them into useful covid/influenza wards.
  23. Is it the government's call, or the person's. Their family, their physician. Not DoFo, and old man river...
  24. Greed corruption and lust for power are common human traits. No need for complex theories.
