  1. In today's world of information there is little to be trusted, including what we once thought were our most esteemed and trustworthy "professional" organizations. So when it comes to "research", pick your poison. Me, I don't even need research. I surely don't need some spoon-fed college boy to tell me his theories. I use a little old thing called intelligense. The mad dash to inject with a completely novel technology, en-masse, raises alarms in those of us who know how easy it is to make mistakes or to have a cover-up. It's not even a matter of knowing science. It just depends on a very simple, fundamental question. Do you trust the government to run your life. ... Funny how you people like to smear mud all over one another. Yes, I like to watch that.
  2. It was not intended to call anyone ignorant, but rather to show that life has its ups and downs. One man sees a thunderstorm, another has a sunny day. One guy dies. Another guy gets well. People are born.
  3. She is different. She took the time to investigate and brought these matters here. Stuck with it, and took the abuse from the nay-saying disbelievers. Sleep all nice and snuggly!
  4. This in itself demonstrates the failure of the mandates that forced masking, cleaning, distancing and vaccination upon the public. The Prime Minister is one of the most protected people among us. You can bet that all people within his vicinity are vetted and checked for covid. The masks they wear are the finest and the best. Every surface disinfected. Every person assigned their spot. Neither has the fed dropped their vaccine mandate. They are boosted up the yin yang. Yet the virus prevails... There is even evidence that doing the exact opposite might be good for you. Go get corona now. Get it over with. Then get some more. Don’t hide from it, you need it. Become one with the corona...
  5. Nice finish to the article on whether Trudeau might have infected anyone else.
  6. To be safe, Mr. Trudeau should be kept in extended isolation until the pandemic is over in Canada.
  7. The problem in Canada is exaggerated - my opinion. We never had the kind of problems the US had. Don’t get me wrong... lol Black racism is prevalent on both sides of the border, as all groups are by definition inherently identified by race, hence racist. But Canada stupidly loves emulating US culture, especially through consumption of US media, such that the poorly informed among us think we have the same problems here. For me the first eye-popping moment was during the Rodney King trial, when we saw riots breaking out in LA streets, we heard they had gone and done the same things on Yonge street in Toronto. ........ Canadians are not racist because there is no Canada, as a race. Rather, we are an agglomeration of many distinct, racist cultures. Multi-racism.
  8. My opinion- the problem is real and may never be completely eliminated. But perhaps in a way it should not be, it may be too costly to society in other ways. Racism may be a consequence of something else, like nationalism, competitiveness, group-think. Humans tend to organize themselves into local groups. This might still be true even if we all lived under the glorious banner of red communism. Just like an a bug’s hive, ya got yer Queens. And those who would die for her. A good hive thrives and grows, but if it gets too big, it’s not a good thing. Eventually a separation takes place, perhaps not unlike a political schism of sorts. No doubt many an insect empire has fallen in glorious battle, their tails untold... For what is communism then, if not like the life of these insects?
  9. After a while you realize there is no dichotomy between scientific thought and spiritual thought. Both come from the same source within us, a yearning to know reality. But one is the expression of our rational thinking hemisphere. The other-irrational yes. That does not make it incorrect or useless. It is you.
  10. Plus, he's liking the effect this has on reducing consumption of fossil fuels. Less travel by combustion engine good. That means for you and me of course. Not the supra-elite, those who gallivant about the globe in their own private jets. That's why, bring back the horse I say. Better yet, bring back sailing vessels. It was the only way Greta Thunberg would travel across the sea.
  11. That outcome would be ‘tres bean’, as we Anglos learned in French class. Your theories sound plausible, but you forgot to include mixing a little politics in the stew. We see how political parties use the fear of covid to try and give themselves a rise. And a mighty rise it is- fear of death, from an unseen and all-pervasive enemy, where only strict compliance with the government will save you. I’m seeing it right now as I type this in the workplace lunchroom. Despite having been told that there is no need for masking, these types are even more afraid. ===== I advance unmasked and wherever I may go frightened creatures scurry from me leaping, to and fro seeking safe spaces from what they do not know
  12. That would be great, but you’ve put a lot of faith in humanity. Just think about it- the dunderheads. Add in some basic human greed and you’ve got the will to mass media manipulation. Political leaders rubbing hands together with glee. Oh boy, think of what we can do now.
  13. There are and will always be new viruses, or virii as it were. Problem is that now with modern technology and especially after we reacted so excessively to corona, we will almost immediately be made aware of them. Now prepare for the instant mass-panic reaction to whatever is out there.
  14. Should you be allowed to assume she is sick by default and more transmissive than the rest of us? The comparison is unfair. When a person is smoking, we know they are smoking.
  15. But there may also be people who think she is right and should not resign. I prefer keeping this issue, the decision to vaccinate, between doctors and patients, not in the hands of politicians. Otherwise we are all lost. Health status privacy is another important matter.
  16. He’s certainly taken us a long way from his self-described sunny ways and transparency. In fact his government became rather the opposite. Isn’t that always the case? The man himself is a rather shabby representative of Canada. We all know what he is, entitled playboy who by his own high standards should have stepped down. Besides that the track record of this government is unimpressive. Environmental, economy, poverty, health physical and mental, all areas that need major improving. Gas prices increasing breaking new records each day. No mention of any attempt at easing from the fed, that I have heard anyway. Despite that, you know who would win an election if one were called today.
  17. I wanted to highlight this part, because it’s not quite what I heard. I heard she has not revealed her vaccination status. There is a difference. Just wondering if she actually did reveal her status or not.
  18. Yes it does.
  19. Sorry if I don’t respond.. I like to post my views on politics and news. You like to project on others what you wish for them to say. Your posts are to filled with personal pronouns “you” and “I”. It’s just not that interesting. You’ll have to engage with the others here for that kinda stuff.
  20. You get a lot of sense... nonsense.
  21. System is broke

The system isn't broke just because you don't like one person. If that were the case it was always broke and always will be.

  22. I guess that’s you. I smile at all those who are afraid. My only reason is to try and reassure them. As to my coworkers, I know them well. I know it’s not because someone needs surgery. Good luck to your wife with that. I know it’s because they are afraid of getting the dreaded corona. As in sore afraid. But they are already on a dead-end road. Eventually it’s gonna have to come off. I know they’re not ready to let it go. They will in a few weeks, maybe. After they see that I didn’t die. So I gotta go first. Somebody always does. Fucking cowards.
  23. From what I’ve heard Canada has not made significant progress on issues like the environment, reducing carbon emissions. The government talks a big talk, so far not much walk. Just lots of money changing hands. Same old same old, as we say in these parts.
  24. I am in a weird twilight zone now. My employer has removed their mask mandate. Thank goodness. But now there is a contingent who are unable to remove them. Not that they are high risk or anything like that. One guy even had Covid just over a month ago. I don't know if the poor bastard thinks he's doing it to protect himself or others, but either way, that mask over that big long beard is the ultimate testimony of man's stupidity towards man. I pity the fools, and walk around smiling all day. It's like, some days I seem to be the only one who's normal. Everyone else is mentally ill.
  25. I already explained how it was used. You are wrong
