  1. I'll take it that the truth about Bob is hurting your feelings? A lot of Ontarians will never forget or forgive Bob for his "accomplishments". Can't wait for for Bob to run the Liberals the same way..... "left" winging it. If he ever ran the country and that would only be for one election....the Liberals wouldn't see another victory until the Clean Air Act would be finished in 2050.
  2. The Military didn't want them there. Best support you could show would be right here in Canada. We got lots of soldiers in lots of bases in Canada that could use a pat on the back. Pointless trip when told not to go by stupid senators. The cost should come out of their pay.
  3. Bob Rae Greg Weston lists the great accompishments of Bob, he definately is a winner. Yes, good ole Bob has much to be proud of. You have to be a real loser not to back a winner like this?
  4. CTV I suppose if the senators in waiting were 100 that would be cheap, but in reality these senators in waiting amounted to 4 plus 3 staffers. But they did work their butts off when there, so I feel much better about this impotant...sorry, important trip they took.
  5. OK Mr. Bloball Warming, you've just been elected leader by all of Canada because you have all the answers and all of the facts. We are looking to you to set us right. We want you to set the goals. You have the power,so what are you going to do?
  6. Don't be ridiculous... You're right, let's pray that the poor souls in Manitoba don't get flooded out like they did in the past, and turn Winnipeg into the Venice of Canada.
  7. Yes, and let's not forget to pray for peace.
  8. Phantom Job Probe-Ottawa Citizen Oct.17/06 We need more "Propaganda" like this brought to the public's attention.
  9. Phantom Liberals Even at the end of their regime they kept doing it.....when will it end with these guys?
  10. Corbella discredited herself long ago. What kind of answer is that? 'Fraid you're the one who discredited yourself. Unsupported statements don't mean anything if you're trying to make a rational valid point. Same old arguement from the left, hit and run.
  11. Who are "they" and who are "the population"? I bet it isn't the women and children that are subjected to abuse, mutilation, starvation, and death by "they" and "the population". Simple stuff coming from a very simple mind.
  12. The Canadian(I think) guy who always says, got to be the most idiotic, moronic over used statement....ever.
  13. How's Saskatchewan doing? How did Ontario do under Rae? Thanks to equalization Manitoba gets their health premiums paid for by Alberta. Happy, happy, joy, joy. Maybe time to cut the cord if you're doing so well, and pay your own way.
  14. A little old lady goes to the Great Canadian Superstore to do some shopping, and is bewildered over the large selection of toilet paper. "Pardon me sir," She says to the store manager, "but can you explain the differences in all these toilet papers?" "No problem," he replies, as he points out one brand, "This is as soft as a baby's kiss, and it's $1.50 per roll." He grabs another and says, "This is nice and soft as a bunny, strong but gentle, and it's $1.00 a roll." Pointing to the bottom shelf he tells her, "We call this one our, "No Name Brand", and it's 20 cents per roll." "Give me the No Name Brand," she says. About a week later, the old lady seeks out the manager and says, "Hey! I've got a name for your No Name toilet paper. I call it my Stephen Harper toilet paper" "Why?" he asks. "Because it's rough, it's tough and it don't take crap off anybody!"
  15. We tried putting Liberals in jail, it doesn't work. Maybe rehab would work.....decriminalizing the Liberal party would help the potential leaders maybe......if they began talking about something relevant. Like the Liberal party demise and how to regain the trust of Canadians instead of marijuana. Then maybe they might get our attention.
  16. How about a system similar to a pilot's license. More hours of practice, safety training extended for a longer period of time...let's say every couple of months for a year. This should enable some time for a background check by the authorities. Then a revisit every two years and another background check. If the individual uses it for a shooting range and doesn't use the range or hunting for three years,he must start or get rid of the gun and prove that he has sold it.Collector guns must somehow be disenabled and prevented from firing. Make it tough.......but then you got the Saturday night specials......tougher jail times? Just some ideas.
  17. A College professor in a mining town I would think is up near the top.
  18. Ah, visions of a poor black girl and her parents getting in an overcrowded boat, in the dead of night drifting out to the promised land of Canada.......wait for the movie coming soon to CBC. In reality the "life of extraordinary hardship" wasn't. The Canadian Encyclopedia
  19. "Honey," whined Jack. " I'm feeling a little down today." "Oh,sweetie," consoled Olivia. "Why do you feel that way." "Well," continued Jack. "It's just that, well, sometimes I feel so alone and useless." "There, there," replied Olivia. "You don't have to feel so alone. "Really?" said Jack. "Sure, replied his wife. "A lot of people think you're useless."
  20. That's interesting. Do you have a link for that? How's this? Paktribune
  21. Prediction: NDP will have a big lose in seats in the next election, and Layton's 92% approval rating this past weekend will be his last as leader of the NDP.
  22. wimp noun (plural wimps) Definition: offensive term: an offensive term that deliberately insults somebody regarded as weak, timid, unassertive, or ineffectual ( informal insult ) http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/dic...efid=1861713420 More applicable to Paul Martin I would think, fits him to a tee.
  23. Ont. to start deposit-return system So is Tory right about McGuinty or is there another motive for the quick environmental concerns? Is it pratical for wine and liquor bottlese to be sent back to be re-used?
  24. EU: Netherlands Leading Trend To More Stringent Immigration Rules I think the Dutch are on the right track in their thinking.I don't believe this is "anti-immigration" but rather making the immigrant aware what he's getting himself into and aware of what the country wants from him as a citizen. If the immigrant doesn't like what he sees in the country, then don't bother applying. If he does enter the country then don't complain about what you knew was there.
