This is not apparent....focusing on Trump's personal and vindictive nature more than his presidential office in the context of previous American presidents is clearly a short term, gotcha game. The man has already served nearly one term in office despite many efforts to take him down, with major impact even now (SC justice appointment...his third). So called unbiased sources should be able to make such distinctions as well, but many don't for fear of a backlash from the woke folk, as hating Trump is their social currency and reinforcement.3 points

Biden's Town Hall beat Trump's in the Ratings. Hit Trump right where it matters to him.2 points

That Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping story sure disappeared pretty quickly after they found out the plotters were anti-police and never-Trump anarchists2 points

In 1914? Why/how did civilized Europeans commit suicide? From 1914 to 1945, Europeans suffered from mass hysteria? How/why does this happen? ====== With so-called Covid-19, we are doing the same. We too are destroying a civilised society.1 point

Indeed...the probability of a President Harris is high. That's why I am more focused on the U.S. Senate, which the GOP needs to keep above all else. Trump already got one miracle in 2016...the Democrats and Lefties would go 1968 ape shyte if he wins another term.1 point

The high irony is that both sides feel that victory in the election will solve all their particular problems. Open-up a new can o' worms, I say. Trump had better win by a landslide this time...or there'll be troooooble. Anything less and there will be endless contention. Biden merely has to eke-out anything remotely victorious to be crowned literally king by the media and the rest of the backing-establishment. But I have a good feeling about this...there really is something Trump-ish sweeping your country. I'm seeing rally viewership going-up dramatically not to mention the spontaneous pro-Trump activities. People seem to love that ACB...especially women. Biden has NONE of that. Harris even less. Nancy looks like she's coming apart...I'm sure you've seen the Wolf/Nancy thing.1 point

I believe that contempt for Trump is definitely related, if only as the suppression of more balanced or supportive views because of backlash fears. Trading in Trump hatred is social currency, which is ironically identical to the criticisms leveled at Trump "supporters". All presidents have personal (and professional) flaws. Donald Trump is just another American president.1 point

OK...so for you this is just a short view gotcha game and Trump is the object of your contempt, regardless of American presidential policies and history. You will invoke "Nixon" (or Bush #43) to score points for your side, regardless of the total context. Got it....1 point

Good for Trump...it's seems to work well for him, as he is now the 45th POTUS. Hillary Clinton's lies did not serve her so well.1 point

Wrong...the people behind Trump in that photo are from animal rights groups. Trump had just signed "The Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act". https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/724/text1 point

Actually, President Trump has signed hundreds of Bills into law and dozens of Executive Orders...also several vetoes. That involves numbers too.1 point

Trump vindicated on the second debate, in a big way: The story is a tiny window into things going on behind the scenes. It's bizarre that, as the moderator of an upcoming debate he asked that question to Scarramucci. What else can you draw from this but, them's in cahoots. Deepstate much?1 point

Perhaps duty for those that rushed to volunteer. But the speed at which things moved was very much dictated by the movement capacity of the European rail system on one end and the production capacity of weapons and munitions on the other. As an unintended side effect of the lull in 1915, not only did Medieval warfare in the form of catapults and trench maces occur...but great leaps forward in the use of aviation as a tool of war. Both the aircraft and airship. Not much else to do....except invent new ways....since the old had obviously stalled. Chemical warfare was the other way forward, so to speak, that turned-up in 1915. But it had so many drawbacks that it ultimately failed unless used in very specific ways. Coating the entire front with chlorine, or later, mustard agent...turns out...bothers your guys just as much as theirs...heh.1 point

Stoßtruppen Tactics...what I'm referring to...involved bypassing strongpoints with the main force while then using special weapons like flamethrowers and high explosives to reduce surrounded and isolated positions. Very effective. Used at Caporetto with tragic results for the Allies. Then employed during the infamous Ludendorff Offensive which was the WW1 version of the Ardennes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spring_Offensive Generaloberst Heinz Guderian...author of the Blitzkrieg, used these tactics as the basis for his thesis on modern warfare...used to the utmost effectiveness during WW2's early years.1 point

Not surprisingly, it was the Germans who first introduced the infiltration tactics that would go onto become the Blitzkrieg under Guderian's watch in WW2. Stoßtruppen...storm troopers (w/o the Nazi stuff) first saw action in 1917 on the Italian Front. The Allies went in big with the tank at about the same time. Between the two, this more or less ended the dominance of the fixed machinegun with artillery support. The Germans had tested the tactics at Verdun (1916) with mixed results and then took a year to improve their tactics before committing them in any numbers.1 point

It actually unfolded at about the only speed it could due to the technology of the day. Everything depended upon a train timetable...a style of warfare introduced in the US Civil War with Jackson end-running McDowell at First Bull Run by rail. That plus the time needed to prepare for a major offensive that would 'break the stalemate' and 'win the war'. Months went by...no discernable action except snipers and trench mortars. But behind the lines...much activity.1 point

On call... while he sits around watching TV and getting in twitter wars with actors. Then he'll call up FOX and blow an hour chatting while the hosts try to figure a way to get him off the line gracefully. Yeah, okay. Too busy while he takes hundreds of golfing trips. Uh huh. Trump probably spends more time in the toilet every day than in the Oval Office.1 point

The R-7 rocket (NATO reporting name SS-6 Sapwood) has been a very reliable ride over the decades. Using LOX and refined kerosene, a fairly ecofriendly booster, as well. But there have been failures. This clip shows the ones caught on camera...1960-2018. Also shown...the Proton heavy lift booster. A hypergolic powered rig...used to launch ISS parts, Salyut, etc. Big things. Not so ecofriendly. Spent stages litter parts of Russia (et al) downrange. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R-7_Semyorka https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R-7_(rocket_family) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proton_(rocket_family) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proton-M A better look at the final Proton failure (2013). It apparently produced a 3kt explosion.1 point

Felton, pardon. Brain fart. Everyone loves a good Tiger tank affair... What's your favorite tank?1 point

It's Felton not Fenton but yeah, very good productions. I've been watching them for a while now. Mark covers a lot of subjects that no one else does and has a very regular output. Very British centric but not afraid to give credit where credit is due to the German war effort. Highly recommended for those interested in 20th century military history. Some very good shows about the Falklands conflict.1 point

I think it's been more closely linked to switching from traditional food they hunted to eating new foods they're not adapted for. Much of the decision to make that switch wasn't by their choice either.1 point
