US police forces have come a long way from the days of Adam 12, when they'd simply cuff someone and be done. Now if anyone gives them even the slightest lip their go-to move is to force them face down in the dirt and put a knee on their head or neck. The mentality seems to be one of total control at all times, and always over-reacting and using as much force as you can get away with. The media interprets this as a racial thing. It's not. Those cops would have acted the same towards a white, brown or yellow man. We see more such cases involving blacks because 1. Black men are involved in a hugely disproportionate amount of street crime and 2. are more likely to resist and 3. the media jumps on any case of perceived racism with both feet. Plenty of unarmed white guys have been killed by the police under strange circumstances, like the naked guy out in the desert in plain view shot dead, or the guy driving away who was shot in the back of the head, or the poor crying guy crawling up a hallway begging them not to kill him who got blown away, or the guy who came out onto his front porch to find bright spotlights in his face and a dozen SWAT guys across the street wearing armor and crouched behind cars and got shot because one of them "thought he moved his hand". The problem is not racism. The problem is badly trained and poorly disciplined police.2 points

Trudeau gov is shutting down Parliament for the summer. As the country starts to re-open, they go on summer vacay, while we're in a state of emergency and we're spending more money than we've ever spend in our history.1 point

I don't pay for Fox. But I do think a lot of the analysis of Fox is that it's day-to-day news is pretty good. You have responsible journalists doing good work all day. But then when you hit Prime Time you get talking heads peddling conspiracy theories. They'll openly concede they're not journalists. BTW I do watch CNN, and I can say the same thing about them. From 7-Midnight it's just talking heads bitching about Trump. Don Lemon does the same act every night.1 point

When you catch Fox lying like I catch CTV and CNN lying all the time, let me know Boges. Open challenge. Argus and eyeball tried yesterday, they both just looked stupid for regurgitating easily disproven falsehoods from PolitiFake.1 point

None of what you're saying is disqualifying for public office. Narcissism is actually Trudeau's strong suit. Clinton was a narcissist, Obama loved himself and especially the sound of his own voice more than anyone I've ever seen. Bush was a weakling. He started off on 3rd base and he couldn't get across the plate even with his massive campaign dollars. Leader of the free world isn't a job for a slackjaw like Jeb. LMAO. There's more than just evidence that his kid got a $30K/mo job at Burisma, the most crooked corp Ukraine, doing something that he wasn't qualified for, and that Biden fired Ukraine's top prosecutor, effectively closing the investigation into the company Joe's son was working for. Those are all established facts. Biden also "appointed a solid guy" in the prosecutor's place, as if it's the VPOTUS's job to do such a thing. Joe and Hunter both continually said that Joe didn't even know he was working there, and the only reason that they admitted that they were lying is because of a photo showing Hunter with another Burisma board member. If you don't see a scandal there you're willfully blind or incredibly stupid. But just in case you really don't get it, I'll establish a pattern for you. Joe Biden was also heavily involved in dealing (weakly) with China, and when Joe went over to China on AF2 to conduct gov't business, Hunter flew with him and closed $1B dollars worth of business with the communist bank of China on that trip. Again, "Joe swears that he had no idea that Hunter was conducting business over there". If you're keeping score, Hunter got a $30K/mo job in Ukraine and closed $1.5Billion in business with the communist bank of China, while Joe was working in those places, and somehow Joe didn't know. They didn't even mention it on during long plane rides together on AF2 because apparently shit like that just happens every day. If Joe has a single defence, it's his own sad mental state. It's actually possible that Hunter told him and it slipped his mind, along with who his political opponent is in the 2020 election: "I'm going to beat Joe Biden!" lol. He's a week or so away from being a drooling vegetable and you want him to be the guy holding the codes. Thanks for the input Argus.1 point

He asked her to put a leash on her dog, per the signs in the area, which is a well-known bird-watching area. Given the state of the police in the US, her bogus call saying he was threatening her life - could have cost this black man his actual LIFE. SHE came towards him and HE said, "Don't come near me." for pete's sake. She knew what she was doing IMO.1 point

Not sure what you mean by "the first story was the good intention"....the suspect died while in police restraint/custody despite numerous pleas for help and obvious respiratory distress. Criminal charges are usually not filed against police for on duty actions until an investigation is completed, grand jury convened, etc. Civil liability and a large settlement from the city/insurance are presumed. The police chief and mayor should also be held accountable for the actions of these officers. The female perp in Central Park didn't commit any crime unless the police cite her for a false 911 report and/or animal abuse because of the way she was handling her dog on and off leash. Two crazy events...one much more serious than the other.1 point

I have a very good friend of mine that I met through a volunteering position. He is native and struggled with substance abuse when he was on the reservation. He mentioned the amount of hatred daily what he heard about the outside world in there prevented him to get help earlier. He moved by himself to Toronto and now he has his own apartment and works a decent job. The native people are being exploited by these white marxists. friends of @eyeball in the media that daily they make money by dividing people instead of helping the society.1 point

The only reason the nonsensical farce about 'missing and murdered indigenous women' became a thing is the cowardice of politicians, especially Trudeau, and the racist far-left ideological views of the media. The narrative they've tried to put out is of an uncaring white society which ignored the murders and sexual assaults on native women, which indeed, was responsible for such murders and needs to make restitution for them. Rarely did anyone in politics or media have the balls to point out it was native men who were responsible for the murders and sexual assaults of native women. Nor was it ever part of the narrative that the solution rate for the murder of native women was almost identical to that of white women. Instead we get these bleeding heart narratives all over the media and from activist groups which do nothing but play into the victimhood cult that so many natives have now embraced.1 point

The idea that racism is defined by power elements is something not supported by things like, oh, say, dictionaries. It's only supported by Left wing bigots who want to excuse vile behaviour by people of color because left-wing bigots can't bear to hold people of colour to the same standards they do whites - because they believe people of colour are incapable of reaching such levels of civility and behaviour. The bigotry of low expectations created the ridiculously redefined meaning of racism.1 point
