  1. I'll try to keep this post brief but I wanted to ask a few questions because I've found the Trudeau government's handling of the China file to be deeply puzzling. On the one hand, there's obviously no reason to antagonize China unnecessarily. In a small way I've been impressed with Freeland and Trudeau and how they haven't done much to antagonize Trump. Justin's father was an asshole when it came to bi-lateral relations so it's good to see his son isn't trying to capitalize politically on Canada's distaste for POTUS. On the other hand, I think it's become crystal clear at this point that China isn't going to be the good-faith partner that the Liberals had hoped it would be. Meekness and humility aren't working and China's taking advantage of our perceived weakness as a result. The detaining of the two Michael in 2018 was flagrant bullying and the charges were trumped-up. Chinese diplomats in Canada are running clubs at Canadian universities focused on bullying and harassing those speaking out against the communist regime and their endless list of human rights abuses. These are the sorts of things that clearly demonstrate what China ultimately is - a communist dictatorship. It's cringe-worthy watching Trudeau and his Ministers change the subject and avoid commenting on anything China-related. They seem terrified to offend the world's largest economy. What has this brought us though? China's our second largest trading partner, but only accounts for something like 3.9% of our exports - practically nothing. We import 3x more than we export, and its not like there aren't other third-world nations we could source our cheap labor from. Conversely, they buy our resources - commodities that trade on the open market and that other countries will buy from us if China doesn't. I really struggle with the Liberal government's philosophy on China. It seems they're living in fantasy-world and knowing what we know about the regime there, I don't understand for a second why we're even entertaining Huawei for our 5G networks. The Chinese government has little/no credibility and their attempts to frame the Uighur detention camps as "vocation schools" speak for themselves...

  2. His first 100 days will be a flurry of activities to implement most of the policies he'd promised. Here's an excerpt from a lengthy article how he says it would look: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/05/us/politics/donald-trump-president.html?_r=0 "I know people aren’t sure right now what a President Trump will be like,” he said. “But things will be fine. I’m not running for president to make things unstable for the country.” ....and I think he will indeed do things that'll be best for the USA. Well I mean, when he becomes President, this guy will practically have everything - including the prestige of being President, right? If he's an egoist (as they say he is)........of course he'd want to go down in history not just as another US President........ ..........but as, the best President the USA had ever had! He'll most likely work on that. That will be his ultimate goal!

  3. Picture from Global News This was in Toronto yesterday, the Canadian flag upside down by two people that most likely were born and lived here their entire life. I said most likely so I might be wrong, my apology to the Political Correctness crowd on both sides for speculating on someone's origins. If this is the case, it proves to me again the point that loving your country has nothing to do with being born in a country how some ultra nationalists on the right try to tell us (I am aware of the danger of ultra nationalism). I came here as an immigrant and the immigrants that I know will never dare to put the Canadian flag upside down. Why ? Because we have seen other systems and we are thankful that this great country allowed us to come here and be part of this society. Looking to hear other opinions and different points of view on this topic PS: Nobody said it is illegal or it should be illegal, I am a citizen that have an opinion about other citizens actions. At the end they can do whatever they want with their private property. I am not part of anti fa or the alt right to impose my point of view on people. @eyeball Is that you in the back ? Joking, good morning

  4. The glories of following American politics and it's increasingly fanatical/decreasingly democratic and irrelevant to most people's lives. Twenty or thirty years ago, it was just conservatives...influenced by rightwing radio rage machines like Rush Limbaugh who were using feigned outrage about liberal crimes and transgressions. Liberal political scientists like Thomas Frank, wrote "What's the Matter With Kansas" and proposed that it was a problem of inferior psychology and reasoning ability: conservatives use the brain's emotion centers in the older limbic system of the brain, rather than the higher and evolutionarily more recent cortex levels added on to the brain, where we do our reasoning and deliberative thinking........and yes, liberals being more intelligent and less emotional than fear-driven conservatives, are thinking through problems to come up with the most reasonable and best solutions. So, since conservatives are emotion-driven, they are more likely to vote against their direct economic interests because of emotional appeals to patriotism, religious faith etc.. Well, that's what Thomas Frank was saying shortly after he wrote that book back in the Bush years, and....as you might have expected, he got a lot of invites from the relatively few liberal radio talkshow hosts and in the early days of MSNBC, he was on either Keith Olberman's or Rachel Maddow's shows on a weekly basis to discuss the world of politics. BUT, something went wrong in 2008 when the Democrats got their seemingly perfect presidential candidate into the White House, along with majorities in both houses of Congress.........some liberals who may not have been quite as rich or financially secure as the typical MSNBC viewer started asking where is Obama's plan to end foreign wars started by Bush, universal public healthcare, card-check (too much to explain, it's a big deal to union members), bailing out bankrupted homeowners with fraudulent mortgages/rather than Wall Street directly, and a whole host of promises he made on the campaign trail and with 60 Dems controlling the Senate and a majority in the House, where were the programs to get the job done? That question was answered when Obama just pissed away his chances doing little more than symbolic gestures to some of the faithful, and if you were watching him closely the night those disastrous (for Dems) mid-term results started coming in in 2010, you would think it looked like he was celebrating, because he was! He was celebrating having an uncooperative Congress that would strike down everything that benefited average working people and having to act on some of the promises he made two years before. According to legendary scuttlebutt from the time, Obama and House leader- John Boehner wanted to work on a "grand bargain" that would cut or freeze Medicare and Social Security because.....well, because Iraq War debts and Quantitative Easing policies had to be paid for......nowadays debts don't matter....at least for Wall Street and the MIC. Well, when Obama's popularity waned in 2010 leading to that Republican rout, Thomas Frank decided he better get to work on a new book - telling liberals what they needed to do to get back on track and start winning elections again. So, before the 2012 re-election got started, Frank penned a new book, this time directed at liberal Democrats: "Listen Liberal." And as he told the few radio and TV hosts who bothered asking him to be interviewed, this time Maddow et al. weren't interested! Likely because they were told by their corporate bosses that liberal dreams and ideas could not be allowed to interfere with their growing profit margins from industries that liberals had previously criticized. So, no more attacking foreign wars and war-spending, never talk to Code Pink and other peace activist groups, ignore Occupy Wall Street or other left movements who were noticing increasing poverty, so by the time Barack is ready to hand off to Hillary the message is "things are pretty great in America." And anyone who didn't feel the same way was SOL! Ever since that time, the Democrats have had nothing to run on for an election campaign. So they had to create a fake scandal after Trump surprised them by winning 2016 and leaving Hillary on the unemployment line: THE RUSSIANS stole our election and put Trump in the White House. Four years later, after all of the arguing and oxygen wasted by fake intellectuals like Maddow, it's been dropped by everyone except Trump, who is going after Robert Mueller and James Comey for their roles in setting up a fraudulent case. And this time, they put an even worse candidate at the helm: Joe Biden, a kleptocrat who had to ditch two past attempts to be president because of lying and falsifying his college records and plagiarizing a speech by British Labour Party leader at the time - Neil Kinnock. All forgotten news now, but Biden literally has nothing else to inspire anyone to vote for him. He's a creepy sexual transgressor and possibly a rapist as well. He even campaigned and endorsed a Republican friend in 2018, running in a battleground state, and yet the Dems and their media were asking whether Bernie Sanders was loyal! So, for those in the US, looks like you really got a battle between losers right now! And I wonder how many of the people declaring that they will vote for 3rd party candidates this time will do it, considering how the system is rigged for Dems and publicans

  5. It is more like most of the people out there are the most ignorant and arrogant and just plain stupid ones here, and not Trump. There are just way too many stupid people around that no matter what the lying and fake MSM says about Trump they will believe what they say about Trump automatically and without question. It now just comes so naturally stupid to them to treat and look at Trump as being the biggest fool and loser of them all because of the MSM constant negative reporting on Trump. Sadly for those losers in the MSM they are the stupid dummies who believe that Trump is stupid but who instead keeps getting their big fat butts kicked by Trump. Trump treats the media like a bunch of fools because that is what the media has become. Nothing more than a bunch of stupid fools. Trump is a brilliant man, and comes nowhere near the dummies who think that Trump is ignorant or arrogant or stupid. Those dummies are a dime a thousand, and if things were left up to them we would all end up ignorant, arrogant and for sure bloody stupid. As a matter of fact, those three mentioned appears to be the mentality of most Canadians today. They really are starting to appear to becoming more ignorant, arrogant and stupid. But hey, what more can be said about those leftist lieberal Canadian losers. And those same fools always keep voting for the same fools who could careless about them. One would think that after being kicked in the butt several times they would learn their lesson. Sadly, I have to say nope, not yet. Trump will go down as the greatest President on earth as long as the lying and fake media does not get their way and be allowed to make Trump look like the worse President ever of America. The problem with most mindless Canadians is that they do not really know nor have ever seen as to what a real and true leader is anymore, and is all about. All Canadians get to see now are a bunch of useless who cares about Canada or Canadian clowns that have left the big top circus, and have become what we all now know as people who are now called politicians. Those clowns still think that they are still in the circus where they use to play around and ride elephants and keep playing with fire. Aw well. Why doesn't Trump need glasses? Because he has "2020" vision. Lol.

  7. Just about everywhere in the developed world did a lockdown. Countries like Spain and Italy have had much worse results due to their late reaction. Don't vote for DoFo because he did what everyone else did (including Kenney in Alberta). But his response to this has made him much more popular. Ontario is now slowly re-opening. Golf Courses this weekend!

  8. I absolutely agree, but stupid and non-viable solutions should be rejected. There ARE success stories around the world. Solar panels work a lot better in places like Arizona, and wind-turbines work better in Scotland or off the coast of Holland. Neither were a very good fit for Ontario in most cases, since the tech wasn't far enough along for widespread adoption or connection to the grid. The "stupid politicians" have, however, done far more harm to Ontario than just a lot of wasted money. They've wasted so much money that they've made future Green energy initiatives (even actually workable ones) far more contentious than they ever should have been. Just mentioning "Green Energy" makes a lot of people shudder in Ontario now.

  9. Trump is pro-Trump. Everyone else can drop dead, as far as he's concerned. Literally.

  11. Sorry I am responding late. I support anyone's right to non violent protest. So I totally agree with you .... I believe their right to express themselves as disagreeable to us as it may be, if not violent, is a freedom democracy allows for the same reasons we can speak freely too...so I say ignore it, speak out against it, but it should not lead to an arrest or government prohibition. We can be well intended when they do things without fully thinking them through. Done my share of well intended stupid things.

  12. Yes we should chip all the children as they are born so we can know every move they make because the worst thing possible is if they read and become educated , my God then they could be able to think for themselves and have real thoughts and ideas which we all know are bad things and worst of all what if they become so educated that they hold different thoughts and are able to debate on many subjects. Please hurry and start the tracking now.

  13. Have yet to see this president do a single thing along the lines you are suggesting here, despite years of unending accusation. On the other hand I've seen the Dems trying to do exactly that, prop up people on false charges, speak half truths to deceive and to falsely incriminate. Ordinary folk can tell the difference. You people on the left would do well to just shut up now and take your lumps. Stop crapping further on yourselves.

  15. Trump is the only president to sign meaningful criminal justice reform. Before Trump's reform, it had targeted minorities in an unfair way.

  16. I believe that you make up way too much leftist liberal nonsense for anyone with any common sense and logic to want to believe or swallow anymore. You obviously are very anti-Trump, and just like the anti-Trump American and Canadian medias. You and they will look for anything you and they can find and say or do to try and come up with something negative to attack and mock Donald Trump on. It is just an automatic reaction with you/they in the fake and phony American media. If Trump said it looks like it is going to be a nice sunny day today, the lying media will say, no it's not, the weather is going to be overcast today. Usually, the American lying media always end up making big asses of themselves again, and the sun did shine that day. The American media has to always go the opposite to what Trump says. They must never say anything positive and good about Trump. Trump must always appear to be a negative person and always to be portrayed as the big bad bogeyman of the world. So far, those fake and phony so called journalists, they appear more like Hollywood actors now, are still losing their war with Trump. No pity from me for those bunch of loser in the media buffoons.

  17. I agree more with: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." and by doing that I found out it works better for the individual when you think about something bigger than yourself.
