When you define success as being richer than everyone else, people will find a way to do just that. Investors will pull their money out of oil. Companies will lock workers out and run away with all the money. Pipelines will no longer be an issue when the investment money leaves, the jobs leave. People have to prepare for that. Alberta has to deal with that, not waste money and effort shrieking and babbling stupidly about separation, which could only make things worse for Albertans. The militant white supremacist fanatics pushing separation are predators, preying on the fears of oil workers, feeding them nonsense about benefits from separation, fuelling hate and rage. You are destroyers, not leaders. With no significant oil industry in Alberta's future, better plans are needed, and fast.

Yes, but we don't do that. Nor are we likely to do that. The immigration program is being run largely for the political benefit of venal, self-serving politicians. No. I think the refugee system should concern itself with individuals who face personal attacks/persecution by their governments due to their political/social activism and beliefs. The current system basically suggests if you come from a poor region or a warring or unstable region then you qualify as a refugee. The Liberals policy on Syria is illustrative. They simply went to Turkey, to refugee camps, and grabbed tens of thousands of Syrians for no particular reason. They weren't in any danger there, after all. The previous govenrment had prioritized people who were in danger due to who they were, such as Christians and Yazidis, who were being targeted for death by various groups. The Liberals threw that policy out to just take anyone temporarily displaced from that country. Most of the people crossing the border from the US are from Nigeria, Haiti and the like, places which do not have the circumstances which would produce legitimate UN refugees. We take many of them anyway. Simply because where they come from is very poor or very unstable or violent.

My point was that it's the White Canadian born crowd who are the most eager to push national helicopter mommy down our throats, not the immigrants. The children of immigrants most likely to want to shove national helicopter mommy down our throats are the one's brainwashed by white Canadian university professors and public school teachers. The native born white people are ruining Canadian culture far more than the immigrants could ever dream of, if that was somehow their intention, so stop scapegoating the immigrants as responsible for that. Like you say the non-white immigrants want less immigration than the woke whites anyway, so even if you insist on nonsensically blaming non-white immigration for ruining the culture, that ain't on the non-white immigrants either, that's on Canadian born whites, seeing as it's them who wants to flood Canada with non-white immigrants, and not the non-white immigrants who want to do that, by your own admission. Displaced anger is a helluva drug.

CF doctrine is to take the professional approach and all members can speak from their experience So I would conduct myself with a military bearing, show my military (ret.) ID, identify myself and speak to them calmly and professionally I would explain that it is wrong and why its wrong, then I would politely ask them to knock it off
