With a defeatist attitude like that ,(anything and everything is negative) not sure how you manage to get out of bed in the morning. Here is an anecdotal example of what I mean. I owned a small event production company. It's an industry that often leaves a large carbon footprint, being sensitive to that fact, and being unsatisfied with what the gov't offers, I tasked an employee to find a better way to offset our emissions. She found an NGO in south america whos work is geared towards diminishing carbon emissions from third world countries. The technology exists, we have the money (used pragmatically, as my original post suggests) all we need is the will. If the logic you chose to employ is fallacious, I agree, little positive impact will result

Here is my take on this conservative rebellion soon to begin. Not only has the conservative party lost pretty much half of their conservative member base to the Bernier PPC party, but now, after an in fight which will soon start, the CP will probably be cut in half once again. Talk about wanting to destroy a political party? This is the way to do it. And of course Trudeau and his liberal elite globalist ilk will be laughing their globalist fascist heads off at those conservative fools. If one wants liberalism support the Trudeau liberals or support Scheer or whomever the liberal conservative party leader will be one day. If one wants real and true conservatism, support Bernier. It's as simple as that. But whatever happens, Scheer needs to really get the hell out of here. Communism or fascism, both are the same. They are both in the belief that there must be a certain ruling elite class of fascist/communist party leader dictators leading the commie fascist pack, and the sheeple below them must do as they are told without a whimper or else. Freedom of speech does not exist under anyone of those two ism's. Liberalism can be included in there also.

I'm sure this has been addressed but you know, people actually voted for Hitler and his populist manipulations. people still vote for Putin even though he needs to stuff ballot boxes and arrest his opposition. people willingly drank coolaide from a bucket for Jim Jones. a third of all people are susceptible to populist emotional responses where they throw logic out the window. Trump operates just like these tyrants. and once he is free to have foreign influences on the election then... he'll just have his political opposition arrested ("lock her up")? disband congress? start shooting people because they're committing "treason". my question to Trump "supporters" is, when is enough, enough? world war? drinking coolaide from a bucket? what could Trump do that would suddenly make you think differently of him?

Of course if three economists came out with a warning that we face en economic emergency we'd be overrun by headless chickens.
