When Trudeau realized this was going to trial during the writ period he called it off..after bankrupting Norman and ruining his life. disgusting3 points

Once this is all over I hope he his properly compensated for all that has been done to him, much like the convicted terrorist Omar was, naa the Admiral was not a convicted terrorist, liberals only like terrorists........... plus I hope he takes legal action against some of those involved, starting with Justin and ending with the current CDS who did nothing but throw him under the bus.3 points

From the article above: “If your political party has been caught obstructing justice — as the political party led by Justin Trudeau assuredly was, in the SNC-Lavalin scandal — what’s the one thing you need to avoid, at all costs? Getting caught obstructing justice again, of course. And that’s what the Trudeau regime’s prosecution of Vice-Admiral Mark Norman would have exposed: Senior Trudeau government officials, implicated in a scheme to use the criminal justice system to punish an alleged whistleblower. In this case, the second-highest-ranking officer in the Canadian Forces.” The Liberals are pure scum, top to bottom. It’s bad enough that they need to move shipbuilding contracts to their SNC-type buddies, but they were actively destroying a man’s life to punish him for exposing their corruption and greed. Lmao at all the SJW types who think of the Liberals as knights in shining armor for everyday Canadians. Nothing could be further from the truth.3 points

They even wrote songs about it. Rolf Harris "There were two wild Kelowna boys and Bennett was their name..." Back to the topic, I get the sense that Trudeau is so convinced that anything he does is right and the ends justify the means. He also probably believes it is vital to the country that he remain Prime Minister as nobody else can do the job as well. Thus, ensuring the support of the SNC and Irving corporations is justified in the national (Prime Minister Trudeau's) interest. He's not a bad man. He is just arrogant and just not ready.2 points

Norman wants to talk. He has something he feels Canadians should know. It's like Raybould all over again. I'm waiting for that.2 points

There's more evidence out now that Obama spied on Trump than there is of any Trump collusion or obstruction. The Obama Admin never had a legal predicate for Spying on Trump.1 point

I found it also interesting their star military candidate who they never appointed Defence Minister of even Veteran Affairs Minister Andrew Leslie is not running again and was going to testify on behalf of the Vice Admiral. W1 point

As Liberal Warren Kinsella says: Warren KinsellaVerified account @kinsellawarren Warren Kinsella Retweeted National Post These bastards bankrupted this man, tried to destroy him, and now are abandoning their show trial - because they realized they are the ones who were going to get destroyed. They’re the scum of the Earth. #cdnpoli1 point

Essentially correct, though I wouldn't characterize the Soviet/Ho Chi Minh camp's position as "peaceful coexistence" The nuance of it was that the Soviets wanted a deescalation which eventually became 'Detente', in order to slow the pace of the arms race, so that they could close the gap. Ho Chi Minh was unwavering in his commitment to National Reunification, he simply feared the devastating effects of a direct confrontation with the Americans. The Soviets and Ho Chi Minh were still in favor of supporting the NLF insurgency against the Puppets in Saigon, they simply opposed sending conventional troops. The Giap doctrine was to fight an insurgency until such time as the enemy was vulnerable to a Dien Bien Phu. Ho and Giap said that it was too early to fight the Americans head to head, to try for a decisive victory at that time would have resulted in defeat after defeat. The Chinese and Le Duan were gung-ho to try and force the issue rather than waiting years for the insurgency to wear the Americans down. The Chinese and Le Duan plan was to send the NVA south to fight with the NLF, building up to major offensives every four years. 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, and then they went early in 1975 when congress cut the support for the ARVN. For the final offensive in 1975, they actually brought Giap back from "retirement" to lead it. But that was only against the ARVN, so he never did lead a fight against the Americans. Ho Chi Minh opposed all this because he said it would simply give the Americans the excuse they were looking for to bomb the North into rubble. Not only was the Chinese plan not going to work, it would backfire massively upon the people in the North. Ho and Giap could see it coming. Ho Chi Minh favored a more patient approach, which was rebuilding the North while waiting the Americans out, letting the NLF drive them out eventually. The difference was that Le Duan was from the South, so he had an ax to grind with the South Vietnamese, whereas Ho Chi Minh was more focused on life in the North. The epilogue was a Sino-Soviet split, wherein the Soviet backed Vietnamese Communists went to war with the Chinese backed Khmer Rouge Communists. This then incited the Chinese invasion of Vietnam in 1979. This was to be "punishment" for siding with the Soviets against China in Cambodia. The irony of the Cambodian war being that the Khmer Rouge used all the Viet Cong tactics against the Vietnamese conventional invasion. So the Vietnamese got a taste of everything they had dished out to the Americans and lost about the same number of troops; 50,000+ Rather than toppling Dominoes, the Communists instead went to war with each other, thus disproving Eisenhower's Domino Theory. Which none the less rose like a phoenix from the ashes in the Middle East, after being rebranded as the 'Carter Doctrine', still in progress.1 point

Argus, Disagree. Strongly. What makes Canada remarkable is that people who perceive themselves as a minority, given the choice, nevertheless choose someone else. ==== Tribal? What defines a tribe? Left-handed people? Language? Religion? Eye-colour? ========= As I argue in my OP, what makes Canada remarkable/civilized is that for centuries, left-handed people have been willing to vote for a right-handed candidate even given the choice of a left-handed candidate.1 point

Meow. Anyone who’s been PM can’t really be called a failure by ordinary Joe standards and ‘not that good looking’? Really? Exactly how demanding are you in that department? I’d happily swap physiques with him right now and if there was a woman in my life I’m sure she’d concur. In some ways Trudeau is a more modest Canadian version of the Trump phenomenon. A photogenic minor celebrity before entering politics and from a wealthy family, he dispensed with the long apprenticeship we usually expect from aspiring leaders. Let’s hope our parliamentary system pushes back against this trend. For the record, I preferred Garneau until that guy almost put me on a Max 8 with his dithering. And I’m pleasantly surprised that the ‘hate’ bait wasn’t taken by posters. In a humdrum, safe, well run country like Canada, we shouldn’t hate politicians of any stripe. They are generally doing their best in a very difficult line of work. Irritation is about as much as one should feel.1 point

Come on, you can clearly do better than that, I mean for a liberal thats entry level stuff, use that powerful intellect you have, dig deep I know you can do it....shit not even a good old liberal throw back like your a white nationalists, racist bastard, or it's harpers fault....comment....come on Justin JR use some imagination here...tell us how you really feel..1 point

No, what you do is make shit up on the fly, like every other liberal...most people call it Bullshiting ...not labeling or defining....i'll define that for you, thats when everything that comes out of your mouth is a lie....this is labeling, your a typical liberal.... Your posts don't lie, they are right there for everyone to see, you have labeled and judged these people without much evidence, or proof...your just making assumptions, and when I made those same assumptions you labeled me. but that is a typical liberal response, only the liberals have the power to judge and comment on what is racists or white nationalist, and god forbid we being the majority of Canadians have no voice or rights to judge any liberal ...1 point

What a great victory for the Vice-Admiral! Best move he made was to hire Marie - if anyone could bring this case to an end it would be her. However, weenies that they are, the Crown did not 'drop' the charges today. They 'stayed' them which means they have an entire year in which to decide whether to exonerate Mark Norman completely or bring forth actual, factual evidence against him. After listening to a couple of lawyers comments on this today, there is zero chance that they will proceed with the case especially as they have dragged their feet on submitting the necessary documents Marie requested - over 6 months ago. Personally, I am really happy that the Vice-Admiral has been vindicated but the drawback is that Canadians may never know the truth behind the false allegations or just how much political interference there was in this case.1 point

Who cares, the rules are the rules and Trump campaigned according to what would make him victorious. Hillary, thought she had it wrapped up and instead of going to Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, she got greedy and went to places like Arizona expecting to not only win, but perhaps run the table. P.S - I think we're seeing the exact reasons why the EC works.1 point
