I disagree...it does not follow that a SC justice must always be stoic men/women of stone. Kavanaugh's testimony and reaction to vicious attacks demonstrated his humanity and makes him more credible, same as those who support Dr. Ford's emotional display.

Isn't socialism wonderful? Canadians have more government on their backs than a dog has hair on it's body. Government "IS" the bloody problem and never the solution. The GST could be eliminated tomorrow if we had politicians who knew how to handle our tax dollars in a frugal and proper manner. The GST was implemented just so our spend crazy politicians could spend more tax dollars on their socialist and communist programs and agendas and nothing more. It does appear as though the leftist governments that we keep voting for and getting stuck with do hate people who are in business and even the working stiff. With all the tens of thousands of rules and regulations and taxes being applied on just about everything we do or buy it's no wonder the cost of living is so high and Canadians are in thousands of dollars in debt. But people like you and me are considered radicals ourselves when we tell it like it is. It would appear as though the Truth scares the hell out of most people. Telling it like it is seems to be a problem with most Canadians. They cannot handle it. They need their daily dose of lies and bull shit every day from their dear leaders to help keep them going. But hey.

My reaction to Dr Ford's testimony is normal. Especially after Leland Keyser had repeated her sworn statement again to the FBI - and also revealed that she was pressured by Ford's allies to change her statement! You make it so that no women tell lies - we know that isn't true, right? Either Ford is lying, or she's confused about it! It's possible too that Ford was the one drunk that night - or she could've been high on drugs! That's possible, am I right? Use your common sense, woman. If Ford had botched 100% in naming the people she said were in that small gathering of 5 - of course she can't say she's 100% sure the man who attacked her was Kavanaugh! Heck, her own life-long friend had not corroborated that - Keyser refuted it! Keyser and Kavanaugh can't be at that party at the same time.....or at ANY party! EVER! With, or without Ford! Anyway....why isn't Ford outraged that she's been outed publicly? Didn't she want anonymity and confidentiality? Why isn't she even curious as to how she ended up being named??? As to who leaked her? You find that a normal reaction? I don't. Yes, I ended up mocking the testimony of Ford, why shouldn't I? She's ended up making a mockery of all REAL SEX ASSAULT/RAPE victims - she's become a caricature! Some of you women just don't get that.

That's damage control, he can't afford to be blacklisted by hollywood. Any guy who get's metoo'd and wants to "keep" a career, better have their head down. With Kavanaugh, he had to defend himself because if he didn't become Justice, he would have nothing - remember Pelosi and the rest were suggesting he shouldn't even be allowed his old job back, and was fired from Harvard. Secondly, to say his past confirms an attempted rape, is totally stunned. There is more evidence that she made up the whole thing, you don't think her story was "off", not to mention her past and the way the story was presented? C'mon, it's obvious. Third, If Kavanaugh had of said what you suggest, he would not have been confirmed. It's rather naive of you to believe that he would've been forgiven.

No...he apologized for his actions and counterattacks. Dr. Ford didn't apologize for her emotional, "un-professional" testimony.

Thank you...we will...just as many Canadians think that an emotional/crying PM or foreign minister are fabulously qualified for their positions on the domestic and international stage. At least you have revealed the underlying motivation for your bias.

I always hear about the fake news from Fox, but it's like an urban myth. No one ever provides any proof of it. Do you ever watch Brett Baier's newscast? He's head and shoulders above Lisa LaFlamme etc here. LaFlamme asked this question in all seriousness, with an accusatory tone: "Did Donald Trump commit treason when he asked Russia to look for the 33,000 missing emails?" It's one thing for a casual observer to read the quote in the paper and think it might be serious, but anyone without Asperger's Syndrome knew Trump was making a joke. Should our Canadian broadcasters really be inferring that A POTUS has committed treason when they actually KNOW that he did not? Is that what journalism in this country has come to? They covered the Duffygate for 3 years like it was the most important news story of the decade. $90K total. WTF? Have you compared Hannity's track record to that of Lyin Lemon on CNN, or Rachel Maddow & Lawrence O'Donnel on MSNBC? Evidence of collusion as per all the CNN and MSNBC opinion shows isn't coming, but the people in the FBI that Hannity has been calling out on Fox are falling like bowling pins, and CNN doesn't even talk about it. Isn't it a really big deal when so many members of the FBI are caught red-handed? If they were acting against Obama when this happened they'd all be apoplectic at CNN. They don't report on it, because it runs contrary to their narrative. It's no big d apparently.

Same with Democrats. We don't know the criteria they've used when they've made nominations. One thing we do know, though - Kavanaugh was given the highest rating by the American Bar Association for his judicial temperament, and approach in judging. All the glowing statements made by colleagues, and his 12 years as a federal judge didn't have a single blemish, or even hint of anything questionable about him. His integrity was only questioned when the Democrats sprung this uncorroborated surprise about Ford at the late hour of confirmation process - and made a public spectacle of it! The Democrats had used Ford to do their grandstanding - never even caring a whit about Ford! Lol. For someone who'd requested anonymity and confidentiality.....she's been plastered on national TV and social media! How much more exposure can you get? I suppose, to the Dems, she's just another piece of meat!
