The author also examines the differences of "then" vs. "now" and why an authoritarian regime, if it did come about in the US, would not look like Hitler's Germany, but more similar to Putin's Russia. 2. The author, Christopher Browning, is an historian who has studied and written about Nazi Germany for decades. His "opinion" has credibility light years beyond that of a right-wing partisan hack on an internet forum.

They may get better, or they may get worse but your assessment of "too many people too few resources" being the reason for dischord doesn't ring true since we have more people than ever right now and more people doing better also.

Separation of people based on identity, a society that values one identity over another, restricted (and now forced) language, media who is complicit with the political party, radical groups storming the streets and colleges attacking people who think and speak differently, dependancy on gov't, destruction of traditional values (marriage, church, family, service groups etc.) that ensure dependancy on the gov't., taking away from one group to give to another. Those are all democrat traits, the same traits common in Nazi Germany. The problem, and the reason the left is freaking out is because they've worked very hard to get to this point and Obama nearly put them over the top, and Hillary surely would've. Trump sets their Marxist/Socialist agenda back a few years.

What missions.....are you referring to....you make it sound like we been to dozens of combat missions.....are you including UN or NATO sanctioned missions....what missions are you talking about, that were not able to stand up to your personal code of morality or ethics.... It's funny that in any conflict there is very little morals or values not even a dash of ethics to be found, maybe we start off that way, but in a very short time all that is left is hate, destruction, disdain for our entire enemies existence...and yet some how there are good wars or conflicts and bad ones according to you........kind of an oxy moron is it not... Why would someone need to read the article? Here's the title/link you posted: A leading Holocaust historian just seriously compared the US to Nazi Germany. It's perfectly fine for someone to see that title and disregard it as drivel. Stupid comparisons between Trump and Hitler are made all the time, especially by people here. It's a mistake to read that stuff, quote it, give the author credit for his brilliant insights, etc. It's leftist drivel. And stop with the sandbox insults already reefer.

That isn't the point....Canadians gladly accept their constitutional monarchy with zero term limits on their head-of-state and prime minister. But they have plenty of time to complain about a U.S. president and/or government.

To be honest, if you read your own words, you're talking about Canadian Liberals and American Democrats. If it wasn't for lies and unsophisticated platitudes they'd be silent. In the States their platform is impeach 45, Russian collusion, Trump is a liar, Kavanaugh and the Republicans are rapists, open borders, no id requirement for voters, white privilege is rampant, free health care, free post-secondary, institutionalized racism, etc. There's nothing sensible at all in there, it's pure emotion based on lies or fantasies. In Canada we get the same pathetic virtue signalling, and the last election was won by the Liberals on the strength of the Duffygate smear campaign, which was probably where the Demmies got the idea for the Russian colluison investigation.

Do you think that any politician is going to work as a politician for dick all? Would you? Just about all politicians can be considered nothing more than a bunch of cheats, thieves and liars. They are pretty much all involved in constantly committing crimes against the wasting of taxpayers' tax dollars. Ford has nothing on some of the politicians that have been in politics in the past or in the present. It's politicians that have pretty much taught and turned many Canadians into criminals. It would appear as though trying to be fair and prudent is for fools only.

We have the luxury of debating this stuff because Canada has a staggering reserve of natural resources. Hong Kong is wealthy because they have virtually NO resources, so it only leaves adding value to imported resources for economic activity. In other words, outside of the speculative (real estate and stock market) side, Hong Kong has an economy founded on creating wealth. What we CAN learn from them is that wealth is created by adding value to resources. Merely extracting resources and selling them off does NOT create wealth, it simply redistributes it from our finite reserves to our cash account - where we thoughtless just give the money to someone else who DOES add the majority of value. Our model is sustainable only until the resources run out.

What I HOPE Mr. Ford can learn that a bureaucrat's argument is that he/she can do more or less of what they do with more or less money. Reality is - as Eric Nelsen found to his ultimate political demise - the correct question is why are we paying you or anyone else to do what you are dong? A great number of things governments do are nothing but meddling in business or social engineering. Let someone who wants that done do it with their own money. I still think the great equalizer is not allowing ANY long term debt without referendum or plebiscite. In that manner, politicians plans to pass their electioneering costs on to my/our grandchildren are scotched and they become accountable during their term for their actions (or inaction).

They already are. Politicians getting minimum wage is in my opinion more than they are worth for what they do, which is absolutely nothing of value. A politician has less value than dog exhaust on the sidewalk.

Personally, I believe that anyone who joins the military is stupid. What they are doing is not fighting for real freedom but for the freedom of the Zionist bankster globalist elites who start all wars in the first place to make themselves even richer and to use the military to get rid of their opponents. Henry Kissinger once said that soldiers are pretty much a bunch of zombies. They go and get themselves injured or killed and the people back home could care less. Illegal criminal refugees are treated better than our vets for Christ sake. We have had an invasion going on in Canada these last two years that even our own government cannot or does not seem to want to stop. Our borders are where Canadians need their military to protect and not some opium fields in Afghanistan. It's hard to love ones country anymore when we see everyday that their politicians appear to hate their own country and are trying their very best to destroy a once great nation. Canada will soon be no more the country that I grew up in anymore. Our dear leaders have sold this nation out too political correctness in order to please their elite globalist masters who pull their strings and get to dictate as to where this country will go. We the people have no say anymore. As a matter of fact, we the people never did really ever have a say on anything. Democracy never really existed in Canada. Dictatorship has though. But when the people really show no concern all that much about anything but themselves than what else can a guy like me expect but more of the same old bull shit. Canadians should vote for the communist party of Canada and get it over with. If they do not believe in more freedom, less government and less taxes than the communist party is for them. Aw well.
