Give Ukraine more lethal military aid and support, free them up to use any/all of it for full 100% strikes into and against Russia in their defense. Your whataboutery ignores the facts that: 1) Trump boasted he would end the war within 24 hours of taking office 2) MAGAs have spent most of the last 3.5 years claiming that Putin was the innocent good guy and that the war was started by warmongering Biden and Zelenskyy Now to your claims: 1)Trump CUT OFF weapons to Ukraine in order to blackmail Zelenskyy for non-existent incriminating evidence against th Hunter Biden 2) Putin’s invasion actually started in 2014 with his proxy forces and he was hoping to negotiate with Trump a peaceful takeover of Ukraine. He invaded when it became clear he wasn’t going get that from Biden.

There's a couple of threads here that resonate a deja vu effect with me... one of them being the state of our (national) finances and the second the overall immigration issue; especially the rationalization of things (on both issues) that simply don't make sense to me from a common sense or sustainability perspective. I say that because the conversations here are reminiscent of ones I've previously had with Greek and Swedish colleagues (over a beer) prior to their own financial and immigration crisis hitting them squarely in the head with a sledge hammer. The tone of those discussions was much more cordial of course but their rationalizations were eerily similar and very "Herb like" in nature. I found myself playing the role of Fox with each of them playing the role of Herb but (and this is my point) the discussion itself was virtually identical, except for the fact that it was cordial and friendly. Unfortunately, I lack the political acumen to compare (off the top of my head) our financial machinations to that of Greece and our immigration ones to Sweden in concrete terms. I also lack the time it takes to research the situational differences that might serve to give me herbs confidence that all is well on (what I now fear) is a sinking ship. Since I don't have the luxury of time to do my own homework here I'll put it in the form of a question: are we in danger of replicating the Greek financial crises and Swedish immigration disaster? For the record (and IMO), the only difference I see is that we now seem to be approaching PNR (point of no return) on course to achieving apogee on both of those issues simultaneously... I think I need a bigger sledge hammer. Sorry to ask and run but that's just the way of it... Cheers

Canada's government debt-to-GDP ratio is low (well below 100%) and falling. Overall, the world is not in debt -when you add up the numbers, it must be zero. (We cannot borrow from Martians!) Higher debt? It means more lenders. More people who trust each other.
