LOL, yes, she lives in Russia. ROFL Not sure what you find so funny. In any case, did you read past my first sentence? You know, this part: ** Eva Bartlett is only -one- of the journalists I read on a fairly regular basis. In her case, I imagine at least part of her reason for deciding to live in Russia stems from the fact that it's hard for western journalists who don't agree with western mainstream narratives to earn a living, not to mention heavy handed tactics employed on some of them. A good example is that of former U.N. Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter who had his passport confiscated by U.S. government officials with no explanation: https://vtforeignpolicy.com/2024/06/us-state-department-forced-ex-marine-scott-ritter-off-plane-to-russia-confiscated-his-passport/ In any case, I suspect I know why you refuse to read from sources such as Eva Bartlett, as the information she provides would contradict many beliefs that you hold. There are articles on this phenomenon, such as this one: https://today.uconn.edu/2022/08/cognitive-biases-and-brain-biology-help-explain-why-facts-dont-change-minds-2/ ** Absolute balderdash. She's certainly been the subject of a smear campaign against her though.

Give everything away on your deathbed and let the CRA figure out the rest themselves. Then if you owe them taxes, you're dead and they're f*cked.

And you recognized one as your son's and one as your daughter's bikes? Most likely one person in a pup tent doesn't own three bikes. Sort of like all those unhoused who bought themselves a shopping cart.

Do you understand the difference between oil and gas? One is a goopy liquid and one is a gas. No difficult and expensive cleanup. And you can't get what you want from some people by waving money in their face. Native people know the difference and have bought into many of these as they own and control some, they're thinking long term benefit nor cash right now then p1ss off. Thousands of BOATS use the inside Passage, not ships. Cruise ships, ferries, the odd lumber carrier and the rest are private boats, yachts and tugs with barges, Not even hundreds of ships. The route seaward is anything but easy. A ferry right there off Kitimat a few years ago and others over the years, it is nothing like a busy shipping route. Those are north at Prince Rupert and South at Vancouver, the main ports. Oil is already going through Juan De Fuca, risking the Fraser River salmon run, and BC's not about to put the Skeena run under threat as well. SO use some logic, corporate $$ pulled out of TMX and it took $34 billion of out tax dollars to complete and the same challenges exist for any new one no matter how much you wish it was different now just cuz some belligerent cow in Alberta demands it.

It’s highly arguable though that the U.S. is in the death throes of a major realignment away from Pax Americana, and I don’t think this is a good thing. Until recently the US was the lifeboat of the West for security, democracy, and economic power. It’s struggling to maintain that for its own citizens, so it’s trying to shake down the rest of the world using the excuse that they have been too generous in the past. Yet America was just the fresh new empire that emerged out of the British Empire, which itself was the leading alternative power after the Holy Roman Empire which grew out of the Macedonian Empire which came out of the Greek city states, etc. in many ways Canada is the fresh new growth out of a fading empire, but we’re in transition, growing our country. Trump doesn’t have us under heel in the most important ways. We can still produce and sell to ourselves and other countries. The U.S. exports represent about 22% of our economy, significant but not insurmountable. Also many American states benefit greatly from trade with Canada and Canadian tourism and patronage. Trump is on a short leash that will choke him out of political relevance in 20 months if he hasn’t improved the US economy. Doge didn’t accomplish much and now Musk has abandoned ship. Trump is calling Xi. Major corporations are hugely upset by the tariff uncertainty and so are markets. Carney just has to keep the focus on modernizing the Canadian economy and brokering the best deals. Either Canada comes through the other side united or it succumbs to total American takeover. I don’t think that becoming part of the US is necessarily bad or the worst of possible outcomes. What matters is whether Canadians are making the most of what they have in the area we call Canada.

If you missed it, Simone Biles supported a dude who took Minnesota's girls' softball team to the championship and won after Riley Gaines called them out for cheating the other girls. Simone decided to attack Riley tonight. Such a shame. Simone of all people should know better, she has her platform and all her successes in life with gymnastics because of women's sports. Now she is going to turn her back on the other girls? Here is the softball team that won, all because they had a dude pitching for them: https://x.com/Simone_Biles/status/1931129527679308054 Then Simone mocks Riley for her size... I am enjoying everyone on X going after Simone now. Such a stupid thing and I really liked Simone too. Got to see her in person this year.

Big difference between a gas pipeline and an oil pipeline when it comes to possible environmental damage. Same goes for an oil tanker spill vs a LNG carrier venting NG into the atmosphere. I approved of TMX because it follows an existing right of way that is easily accessible and been in use since the 50's. Any tanker spills are also easily accessed and in waterways that already have a large amount of tanker traffic. Northern Gateway is a completely different animal. Not only is the terrain a lot more challenging, the weather is a lot worse. Right now they are looking at increasing Transmountain capacity by dredging Vancouver harbour and Burrard Inlet to allow larger tankers. BC is taking a shit load of Alberta oil to tidewater and the east coast is taking SFA. The environmental risks of taking a pipeline east are far lower than ramming them through the northern Rockies to be tankered through fjords that rival Norway's. Churchill might be one option if climate change can make it ice free enough. BC gets very little once the lines are completed.

Mobile voting provides everyone with the opportunity to vote directly, but of course some people may not use it, just like some people don't go to vote in elections. There are always some pending legislation that you would like to vote on directly. For me, I would definitely vote directly on pending legislation that determines whether to go to war. Regarding the city of Athens, only citizens have the right to vote, and no one else is eligible to vote.

Isn't what is good for the whole country also good for the majority of the people? You think that national interests should be priority. Others may.think so too. Regarding national defense, strengthening national defense is a way to maintain peace, and reducing the risk of war is also a way to maintain peace. This is why there are arms control treaties.

LOL, imagine that. After they implement sex testing, the obvious dude isn't going to participate. I wish I had the search feature to go call out all the leftists on here pushing the trans madness when they acted like this dude was a chick, and how dare any of us question that. Controversial boxer Imane Khelif skipping competition following World Boxing’s new mandatory sex testing https://nypost.com/2025/06/06/sports/controversial-boxer-imane-khelif-skipping-competition-following-world-boxings-new-mandatory-sex-testing/ "Imane Khelif, the boxer at the center of the Olympic gender controversy, is skipping a boxing tournament in the Netherlands after World Boxing announced mandatory sex testing for all athletes."

You cannot believe anything on the internet. This has been true for more than 25 years. Now, AI, makes it imposibe to trust anything on a computer. The idea of voting with a computer/ cellprone ignores the ease with which our devices are used for nefarious purposes, meaning the results of any vote with them is meaningless. A half dozen people in Beijing can control the outcomes of every vote.
