Why do you insist on changing the subject from climate change to modern immigration? As if they're related.

I used immigration as part of an example. Your wet diaper is what diverted your attention from the subject.

And how long did those changes take? 10s or 100s of thousands of years. How long since the industrial revolution became a factor in the changes we see now? 200 years or so.

Less than 3% of the planet is inhabited. Less than 1% of that had factories like that. And that was bad. No one says they weren't. But the lie that the smallest fraction of the planet's surface is changing the atmosphere so significantly that the planet will be uninhabitable is insanely naive.

Especially when you read reports that talk about the megatons worth of methane that is being naturally released by the ocean and permafrosts. Did you know that methane is 10 times more effective at retain the sun's radiation than CO2? Did you know that our orbit is more circular and exposing us to stronger radiation from the sun than it did 100,000 years ago?

That tiny amount of CO2, that is consumed by plants, is not your enemy.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

No...he did not know any of that. He knows what Gore, Thunberg and Jake "The Lisp" Tapper told him.

yup and people started dying in England from the smoke.  That's the good side of environmentalism - stopping people from dying from real actual threats. The bad side comes when it stops being about real threats to humanity, and instead becomes a trillion dollar wealth distribution machine that has nothing to do with any real threats, just made up crap designed to suck as much money out of peoples' pockets as possible.

So many people—myself included—are drawn to the climate movement because they want to help people. They care, want to help the poor, and save the planet. But what they don't understand is that the climate movement is doing the exact opposite of what these well-meaning activists want to accomplish.

The movement vilifies reliable energy—the single biggest driver of getting people out of poverty.

Over the past several decades, we’ve spent trillions on an energy transition away from fossil fuels. The result? We’ve made our energy system less reliable and more expensive.

Western countries have also practiced climate colonialism by preventing Africa from developing with natural gas, coal, and oil. (This goes against everything climate activists claim to stand for!)

This is the most morally inverted movement ever. Right now, a billion people don't have access to reliable energy.

That means women are spending their entire day figuring out how to get fuel to cook their food. Children in these settings are not going to school, they’re spending hours collecting wood or walking to get water. All of that is a symptom of energy poverty.

This is when climate activists will say “but the planet is burning!” Just no. The planet is not burning. Yes, we've added CO2 to the atmosphere and seen about ~1°C of warming over 150 years. But 95% of CO2 is naturally occurring and historically, warming periods are when humans flourish. The Medieval Warm Period (900–1300 AD) is a great example. It was 0.7-1°C warmer and populations boomed. They then collapsed during the Little Ice Age.

Takeaway the climate hysteria and objectively you would choose to live during a warming period over a cooling period.

The rest of the data is reassuring:

  • Globally hurricanes rates are slightly declining
  • Tornadoes are down
  • Sea level rise is a manageable ~3mm/year
  • Global greening is up 15–40% since the 1980s
  • 10x people still die from cold than from heat

In the West the first time students hear about our energy system is within the context of “fossil fuels are burning the planet.” They’re never taught that it’s an amazing technology that has lifted billions out of poverty. I considered this a huge injustice.

We need to pivot away from climate hysteria toward one goal: ending energy poverty and expanding access to energy.

If you’re still gripped by climate fear and anxiety, I’m sorry you are a victim of this fear narrative. But it's time to get out.

the DUMBEST "solution" to the man-made climate change fairy tale is bio-fuel.  It takes so much diesel to plant, spray, harvest and haul grain/corn/soy/canola to a plant, and THEN it has to be heated, using natural gas, to convert into fuel.  The whole process takes WAY more CO2 to create than it saves.  Burning food to make fuel is just dumb.

I talked to a guy pitching this bio-fuel scam to me one time and I laid out the whole thing and why it was a scam from an environmental point of view, and he just smiled at me and said, "Ok, you know this is a scam, because you have a farming background.  This isn't about the environment, it's about the subsidies and getting paid."  At least he was honest about the grift going on.

Climate hysteria is a business and we're pouring trillions into it - I saw something the other day it estimated $16 trillion.

With no results.

I'm getting really sick of the constant fear-mongering for profit, over everything.

And I'm getting really, really sick of the dolts who keep buying it.

Yup, just the other day I saw a headline saying globalist a$$holes want over a trillion dollars for their climate bullshit.

Prove that.

Also if someone can explain why climate research has been consumed by a conspiracy involving thousands of scientists where the public sphere of science has otherwise worked well, if in a flawed manner.

Corrections, adjustments, and overturned findings are part of it.

Persistent and massive conspiracies to commit outright lies aren't and haven't been.  It's pretty much impossible to do that in an open system.

A great point.

Imagine if you will...

A very successful nation, colonized by northern European people, has a border in which south of that border are a multitude of nations colonized and setup by the Spanish and the Portuguese...for the most part.

These South American countries created.. mud. Poor societies. Excessive crime.

Now...would it be "wise" of that successfull country to let millions of people from these failed states, flood the country and bring such mentality to the successful state?

It has always been wise to accept immigrants who perform menial jobs so citizens like you can progress up the ladder, dropout.

But it seems you are jealous because your dropout status prevents you from escaping their competition. LMAO

The unavoidable fact is...climate creates weather. Thus they are essentially the same thing.

IN FACT many species have suffered exstinction from climate change.

But it is unlikely humans will be one of them, until it's caused by a major asteroid collision.

AKA you have no idea about "no argument at all." LMAO

The Guardian says a study shows Greenland is losing 30 million tons of ice per hour. Sounds terrifying until you add scale.

If, for argument's sake, we accept the questionable headline rate, that works out to roughly 263 gigatons lost per year. But Greenland holds 2.8 million gigatons, meaning total loss would take over 10,000 years.

And the study itself adds important context. Much of its newly counted loss comes from glacier retreat in fjords where ice was already below the sea, so it does not raise sea levels in the way the headline implies.

This is how climate fear works:

Huge number. No denominator. No time scale. Just blind panic.
