It’s bad enough these right wing MAGA-type nutjobs have very stupid very ignorant political views but the fact they’re always either too stupid or too crooked to follow the law is a whole other ball of wax. Surely some if them are so ignorant it never occurred to them there’s nothing wrong with indiscriminately posting the personal data of every registered voter on a public website. Others maybe had some idea are such rabid extremists and grifters that they just don’t care. Either way just more evidence that they are a blight on society.

Separatist group ordered to remove Alberta voter database from website

A judge has ordered a separatist group to remove from its website a database of information about Alberta voters, which Elections Alberta alleges was obtained illegally.

In a public statement Thursday morning, Elections Alberta announced voter information may have been inappropriately used or distributed by a registered political party that had access to the data.

Alleged Inappropriate Distribution of List of Electors - Elections Alberta

There has been no breach of Elections Alberta’s databases or systems. The unfolding situation is believed to involve a third party and to have occurred as a result of the inappropriate use and/or distribution of the list of electors by a registered political party that was a legitimate recipient of the list.

American style swatting.

Did anyone really believe that the crooks who broke the Charter to deny citizens their charter rights would allow their main money maker to go off and do their own thing?

This is wildly blown out of proportion.

Every major party, including the NDP, routinely uses registered voter names, addresses, phone numbers, and data from Elections Alberta for campaigning. It’s legal, standard practice.

Turning routine data access into “one of the largest breaches in Canadian history” and calling for deregistration of separatist groups is pure political fearmongering.

I didn't see any of you pooping your pants over the data breaches below 👇

Good gawd, you poop your pants every time CBC tells you to! 🤣

Albertans aren’t shocked, they’re tired of Ottawa-aligned parties clutching pearls over what their own teams do daily.

Investigate if laws were broken. Otherwise, spare us the hysteria. Alberta deserves real debate, not manufactured scandals.

Will the MSM air an update to this fake story?

Of course not.

And you bunch of id10ts will still be screeching about it 2 weeks from now.

Did you think "Alberta separatists" didn't know and anticipate that this was going to be an uphill battle, between a corrupt government who uses lawfare to silence citizens and breaks the Charter & a lying legacy media?

Of course they did.

They have an entire team of constitutional lawyers and every time something stalls us, they tell us, "Don't worry.  We anticipated this development and already have the legal rebuttal briefs prepared."

Everything is being done legally and in line with the Charter.  They made sure of it.

The only thing we ask - Stop beating up and assaulting the people who trained with Elections Canada to collect signatures legally.

.................. rumor is it was a generic term in use during the, 'scoop' tenure.

First Nations have weighed in to a degree apparently. The Alberta Court of King’s Bench has their oar in the water with FN challenging the constitutionality of the separation petition.

There is some precedent to indigenous standing up on their hind legs.

Harkens back to Elijah Harper (FN MLA, Ruperts land, Manitoba), preventing Brian Mulrooney from changing the national constitution by refusing to give consent to the Meech Lake Accord (1990). Harper rejected the Accord because First Nations were not adequately consulted in the proceedings.

Heap big trouble coming, Kemosabe!

Entirely trivial, is First Nation paying your pension? Thought so. Canada is broke and it’s not going to get better, unless you cut a deal with America or become a state.

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Indeed. Heaping trouble coming if this gets any traction. Thankfully it is still an outlier. We will see, it will be interesting for sure.  I don't think the so called separatists have thought this through.

........... agreed,  it is all a game .......... but it needs to be played with skill and long term strategy.

What ever happened to the political Right and their refrain of fiscal responsibility

The option for government hacks?

Grow the economy

Reduce spending

Cut / eliminate entitlements.

Review mandatory spending in general

RAISE TAXES

Punt.

................ what is most attractive to any incumbent government? 🤪

And yet you couldn't think of one single thing to say to rebut anything he said.

Once again all you bring to the table is an ad hominem attack against your betters. Did your wife beat you again today or something?

This sort of oblivious commentary would land better if there was actually anything to rebut in the first place.  🙃
