And you don't watch any.  On any topic.  Ever.

That about sums up what's going on here.

You know, the real work of government in Canada happens in committee meetings.  Not on the CBC Power & Politics panel.

Just sayin'

Is that how this works in your reality?  You throw a bunch of balogna out here and then when challenged you cite yourself and the things you've apparently seen and heard but can't/won't reference?  🫠

The reality is - I don't think your main problem is an inability to figure out where committee meetings and hearings are.

1. I know right? After growing up with the Science Center, 2001; A Space Odyssey and Star Trek I figured for sure I'd be living the dream in my condo overlooking Tycho by now.

2. They'll probably hit the technological singularity a couple years after we're gone. It just comes with feeling doomed I guess.

1. I bet you never thought you'd be using a global super computing Network to yell at strangers that vaccines work 😂

2. The decline of religion, massive interconnectedness between cultures, the decline of work, depopulation.... Really, this is only going to go one way.

If you ever saw the h.g Wells time machine adaptation from the 1960s, they kind of nailed the future: beautiful young people lying around beside streams doing nothing.

Sure and look at those food replicators from Star Trek.

It just wouldn't work. The future is bound to be more like Oliver Twist's world where there's no free stuff and no shortage of moral panic.

You're a bummer.

Look at it this way.... They invented writing, math and money and solved a bunch of material subsistence issues... 5000 years ago.

We're due to find a way to solve spiritual issues soon ❤️

You're forgetting I have to burn about 150 - 300 liters of fuel a day at work.

The creator of the Jetson's in the 60's nailed it pretty good too.  It won't be too much longer and there is going to be a lot more young and old lying beside those streams doing nothing all day.

There is real concern about free speech here.

I think liberals (small l) everywhere should be concerned.

They don't seem to be concerned because they're in charge and can't imagine it ever being done to them. The idea that a public sector institution in Canada could attack and slander someone because he dared to say what most Canadians would agree on about Hams is incredible. And he didn't even say it in school.

I don't even do that most months.  After all of the talk about ESG and environmental factors needing to be included in macro economic and monetary policy, are you telling me you've been the problem all along?

We also try to be the solution. We regularly upgrade to the newest most emission free fuel efficient engines. In addition to occasional fuel surcharges the company has also collected over a million dollars in environmental fees from guests that is donated to local charities.

But you're still more of a burden on climate change than anyone else on the board I bet.

Just more hypocrisy. The bad month I might spend 100 l of fuel, usually less. And yet you claim YOU care about the environment and willingly burn twice that daily.

Hypocrisy, your name is eyeball :)

And trees...don't forget I've killed quite a few of those too. Not as many as Nefarious Banana but then how many trees has he planted?

Probably, and I'm also a burden on you because I advocate more of one being placed on you.  :)

But seriously, mass transportation is better than the alternative. It would have taken thousands of more boats for people to do the same thing as it takes one boat to do.

How many gallons of fuel do bus drivers or pilots burn?

Yes, although even you liberals realize you can't sell that to the public anymore.

I'm sure you have your justifications for the damage you're doing

umm...  are you suggesting air travel is fuel efficient and environmentally friendly?  It may be fast but its' not a good 'per person' fuel cost.

Probably not, I'm actually smoking some wild salmon as we speak.

With old growth alder.

The CO2 is just billowing out of the smoker as we speak.

Yeah it's called paying the bills. The difference is I can acknowledge the need to tack on an extra charge to help mitigate the damage paying the bills causes.

The minute you people are presented with a bill you switch gears and say it's all a hoax or it's not you ..it's that hypocrite over there causing all the problems.

No, and it would be a lot less friendly if everyone flew their own plane.

Yeah it's called paying the bills.

So it's fine for you to cause climate change because you have bills to pay. But when other people comment that carbon tax makes it hard for them to pay their bills you have zero sympathy.

If I tried to keep a list of all of the times you were a complete hypocrite i'd run out of hard drive space

Nope, when they say that I expect the government to give them a rebate and to charge more to people who can afford it.

You on the other hand immediately start whining about how unfair this is to the 1%.

Not rebate costs money, no matter how you slice it it takes about 20% of whatever they collect in order to be able to offer a rebate. And nobody can afford it. And those who can are leaving

So you just expect people to suffer with it. Which is exactly what people did, and look at the freaking mess our country and economy is in now

I have no idea why you hate poor people but your policies wind up hurting them the most

Sounds like something a liar might say. So that tracks that you would put that forward

But you're the one who just claimed he was against the carbon tax and that he was for the carbon tax within about five posts at each other
