Why do you disagree with the industry's satisfaction of the agreements?

Why do you disagree with the industries dissatisfaction? Specifically the auto industry which is going to be severely harmed

You keep neglecting to mention that I notice. It's almost like you want to avoid dealing with the truth

This is just a bad deal. And if you cared about Canada and weren't such a liberal cultist even you would have to say this isn't a good deal

None of these lefties will touch the question of why giving China access to our media and national security was part of the "trade" deal, either.

We got the short end of the stick, all around.

Well that's the thing isn't it. There is no actual agreement. No trade document was signed. At best this is an "understanding'.

But having said that...

Glavin: Carney-China deal full of Trojan Horses on police, propaganda | National Post

carney instructed the rCMP to work more closely with the secret police of china and provide them with information. It has a lot of people very concerned. Then there's the media accesses as well

I find it difficult to believe you haven't heard about this

That is absolutely true, as you can see from his response some of them don't even watch cknowledge that this happened even though it was well reported

And they've obviously been told not to accept the fact that china has forced labor. Which is kind of another word for slavery. Which is why Michael Ma behaved the way he did and why carney is refusing to answer questions about china's forced labor

Conservatives have been trying to get the details of the national security part of the MOU with China released.

Liberals are refusing.

Frank Caputo has been posting this letter to the Liberals every day since the MOU.

Yes, the new mantra is "We accept the world as it is, not how we want it to be."

Which will be used to make the public accept any heinous, terrible thing.

And it's working.

They already accept human slavery and are excited to get cheap Chinese spy vehicles made with Uyghur slave labour.

The Americans have stood firm on this issue, but lefties think the US is the bad guy.

Typically, lots of talk, just nothing to substantiate it...

Canola and Seafood Tariff Changes (2026)
  • Canola Meal & Peas: China suspended 100% tariffs on these products.
  • Canola Seed: Tariffs were reduced to a combined rate of 14.9% (following a 5.9% anti-dumping duty added to the 9% MFN duty), down from nearly 85%.
  • Seafood: 25% tariffs on lobster and crab were removed

Comprehension difficulties as usual and that's giving you credit for the complete lack of.

Decades ago you people called me an anti-capitalist commie for saying no truck nor trade with China because of its dismal regard for human rights around here.

Good to see you're finally getting all woke but I doubt it'll make a lick of difference.

Whatever.

You support the Liberals and they are very much FOR China.

Always have been.

Decades ago, China wasn't the danger it is today.  We had limited contact with them but the Liberals took it to a whole new level.

Today's top headlines from Blacklock's reporter:

This level of hiding from scrutiny, delay and outright defiance of Parliament is routine now.

When this happens in N. Korea, Russia, Cuba and China, it's called "communism."

Right now in Canada, it's being sold as "socialism", the little sister of communism.

(2) Carney’s Government Is Not Failing to See China’s Threat. It Is Choosing to Look Away.

In policing, we followed the evidence wherever it led. We did not avoid lines of inquiry because they were politically sensitive. If anything, those were the ones that mattered most.

Today, it feels as though Canada is doing the opposite—treating certain questions as off-limits.

That is not a security posture. That is avoidance.

Canada is not at risk of overreacting to foreign interference.

It is at risk of normalizing it.

We already know that candidates have been targeted, diaspora communities pressured, and information environments systematically manipulated.

Justice Hogue warned that the greatest harm may be the erosion of trust in our democratic institutions.

From my perspective, that erosion has already begun.

Because when Canadians see interference minimized, when officials contradict available evidence, and when those raising concerns are dismissed — they draw their own conclusions.

At the end of the day, this is not just a security issue. It is a question of who we are as a country.

Canada has always prided itself on fairness, openness, and the rule of law. But those values depend on something deeper: the willingness to defend them.

So we need to ask ourselves—plainly and without hesitation:

Are we so cautious, so economically dependent, or so politically uncomfortable that we are prepared to place the sensitivities of the Chinese Communist Party ahead of the integrity of Canadian democracy?

In my experience, the most dangerous threats are not the ones we fail to detect.

They are the ones we choose not to confront.

And right now, Canada risks doing exactly that.

Free trade globalization, championed by conservatives like Reagan, Mulroney and Thatcher is what took it to the level it's at now.

Speaking out about that made you a commie back then like it does now.

As you say yourself what do you think will happen when your opposition is given the reins of power? Why is it such a surprise they cozied up to tyrants even more closely?

Nobody called you that.  Well.... not because of china anyway.

"NO" trade with china would be stupid.  Unfettered trade with china is also stupid.  You're kind of stupid either way  :)

If Canadians had been told in 2015, that in 11 years, the food banks would be on the verge of collapse and that the government in power for those 11 years would have a 68% approval rating, they would have said you were crazy.

But here we are.

Canadians have been conditioned for 11 years to accept collapse and demand no accountability.

And as pointed out earlier trading with them reflects the fact Canada has a pretty loose set of morals and ethics and always has.

And by all accounts they want more...

Some of our area food banks are struggling as well.

I'd like to see all charitable donations treated in the same (tax) manner as political contributions. But instead of pursuing that, there seems to be noises in favour of eliminating tax free status for churches altogether.

People advocating for this generally have no idea how much impact churches have on local charities. Imagine the market value of some urban church properties and the yearly tax bill because of it.

For many churches it would break the bank at a time when tithing is way down.

It's really easy, it's because wealthy powerful people always stick together to keep themselves isolated from the great unwashed masses of humanity they govern.

It's their economics that trumps everything. Why do you think the income and wealth gap just keeps on growing at the expense of the middle class and lower income people no matter who is in power in Canada?

This divide between top and bottom is only going to get more pronounced over time as sustainability issues and scarcity  bites harder and harder.

Hard-boiled right-wing lickspittles will continue to ingratiate themselves to their betters because of their fear no poor man will ever give them a job.

Lefties just don't see things that way at all. You people are slowly and finally getting more woke to the more important things going on in the world but...better late than never? Sadly no, like everything else you people touch you'll even make the inevitable collapse worse.

I'll probably be happy if I can just stay out of your way without being rounded up when the shit really starts hitting the fan.
