Do you have a cut-off date in mind for rules? I'm not following your "logic".

Are you saying this procedure is 10 years old, so they don't follow it?  You'll have to provide proof of that.

I'm wondering because our Westminster system still has procedures on the books that date back more than a hundred years and they are still followed.  Some of it looks silly now - like when they parade in new members and present them to the House.  But it's still a procedure that s followed.

The rule to not murder in Canada goes back further than that.  Is that also an outdated rule?

Maybe your friend John Stone can help you - he agrees with everything you are saying.

Hey.....old news is nothing more than old news.  LOL

Nope, never said that, only said it was not new and was 10 years old..

You were the one that said "Liberal majority has also imposed a 30-year ban on discussing scandals uncovered in committees."  when in fact, that rule has been around for 10 years and committee meeting in that past 10 years have been under that rule and it was not todays liberal majority that imposed it. LOSER!!!

Of course there are old rules still in effect LOL

The rule not to murder?? Stop digging that hole LOSER LOL

Stop while you have some dignity left :)

Here:

Broadcasting Services - The Parliamentary Record - House of Commons Procedure and Practice, Third edition, 2017 - ProceduralInfo - House of Commons of Canada

What this means

In the Canadian Parliament, “in camera” (closed‑door) committee meetings are not open to the public, and their minutes, transcripts, and evidence are kept confidential. According to House of Commons procedural rules, these records are archived and normally remain sealed for 30 years before they can be released.

This 30‑year rule is part of the House of Commons’ broader approach to parliamentary records and is reflected in the way historical committee documents eventually become accessible through the Canadian Parliamentary Historical Resources archive, which includes materials only after long-term confidentiality periods expire.

What becomes public after 30 years

Once the confidentiality period expires, the following may be released:

  • Committee minutes

  • Transcripts (if any were taken — not all in camera meetings are transcribed)

  • Documents submitted to the committee

  • Reports or internal analyses

These materials then appear in the Library of Parliament’s historical archives.

You just got a down-arrow for a post that was completely devoid of objective comments: it only contained facts from the ultimate authority on the topic, and a link to it.

That just goes to show ya exactly what leftists look for in a post...

If you wrote a negative criticism or an accusation about a conservative politician, you would have gotten a like from that scumbag, regardless of whether or not your post contained a single verifiable fact or cited a reliable source. But unwanted facts.... DOWN YOU GO, NAZI!

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

No one knows what's going on you f'ing m0r0n... It all happens behind closed doors, remember?

What difference does it make what the Liberals just got caught doing when they can forbid the police from investigating it, and no one is allowed to talk about it for 30 years? Carney will be dead by then.

If this was China, NoKo, or Iran (before the Cardboartollah took over), how would scandals be handled differently? In what way is our method of ensuring gov't integrity better than theirs?

In addition to moving committees take place out of camera so citizens and journalists have no access to what is going on in them, Liberal majority has also imposed a 30-year ban on discussing scandals uncovered in committees.

You continually talk about how 'informed' you are, yet as I see it you're one of, if not the laziest seekers of information in this forum because you only read what suits your ideology. You see something that you like and it's like a dog on a bone.... no thinking required or need to see if it's really a bone.... just get it in their mouth and watch them go to town.

If you'd have questioned this, which you wouldn't because it fits well for your hate of liberals, you'd have found this;

Under the procedure and practice of the House of Commons of Canada, documents and transcripts from in-camera (closed-door) committee meetings are designated as confidential and kept secret for 30 years. [1, 2]
Key Aspects of the 30-Year Rule for In-Camera Meetings:
  • Definition of In-Camera: Meetings held in-camera are closed to the public and media, with no broadcasting of proceedings. They are generally used to consider draft reports, hear confidential testimony, or discuss sensitive matters.
  • What is Kept Secret: Transcripts, documents submitted, and detailed notes of proceedings are restricted. While minutes (which show decisions/votes) are public, they do not include the details of the discussions.
  • 30-Year Secrecy Clause: According to House of Commons procedure, confidential committee documents are archived at Library and Archives Canada as "Secret Records" for a period of 30 years from the end of the session in which they were created.
  • Access During Secrecy: Although not public, these records remain available to Members of the House (MPs) during that 30-year period.

The funny thing and not surprising is that your little friend Fxx has to jump in like he always does and say "But they did. Committees have the power to do that for those who participate in the committee"....

You're both as stüpid as hell and think you're having some sort of 'intelligent' conversation that starts with your BS...  which is not surprising considering you both pick things out of your áss to make your so-called information 'sound better'...

This will probably continue. The liberals have set the bar very low and there's very little reason pretty future government to correct that if the public is going to let them get away with it.

It's just too bad Conservatives are so useless at doing anything to improve transparency and accountability when they get their kick at the can.

China just told us which countries our MPs are allowed to go to and where our ships can & can't sail.

A communist country just told us we can't talk to a democratic country.  And that this was a "red line" for them.

So in your mind 'we've sold our sovereignty' because China's envoy 'warns' us about going to Taiwan or through the strait. Explain how we 'sold' our sovereignty...?

I'll ask the question again...  Were you dead set against China when Harper was kissing their back ends for stronger economic ties, or did you just have an epiphany when Carney reset the relationship?

If another country feels enabled to give us instruction and we don't reply advising them to p*ss up a rope then we are indeed recognizing they have some authority over us.

For example they tried to boss harper around and he said " Imma invite the Dalai lama to visit and also shut up. Now, about those human rights issues..."

Seen any of that from the liberal government after this statement

Correct and in the case of PP...he will know as soon as the public does but if he had clearance, he would get daily updates and he would know as it is happening like some members of his party that are on the committee (any committee, which PP cannot be on) you f'ing m0r0n. LOL

Some more good news for the eocnomy Carney says is the best in many decades

Canadian Business Closures Surge, 1 In 20 Shutter In A Month - Better Dwelling

As usual...headline coinfux left out a lot of the story

"closures were broad-based, but one industry took a severe hit—Transportation & Warehousing. The segment represented nearly a third (32.1%) of all closures,"

"business opening rate was unchanged at 4.9%, helping to offset net closures."

"However, more abstract measures like real GDP that rely on inferred data and modelled deflators show growth continues to beat economists’ expectations. "

More often than not...commentary is not necessary for a BS post...and you get it. LOL

"unwanted facts"??? What are those? A fact is a fact but if you don't  like it it becomes an "unwanted fact"??? So facts are truth unless they don't fit your narrative then they become "unwanted" truths.... now that is the true definition of a LOSER LOL LOL LOL

I can tell when you get real pi$$ed... you resort to calling a person a NAZI...

Must have pi$$ed you off real good LOL...Done my job :)

I find it hilarious that you and a few others whine and cry about down-arrows all the time. BOO HOO I do not say anything about the 100+ i get from your fellow verandoo. He does not even post anymore in fear of getting a down arrow so he resorts to giving me some for every post.... He is as much, if not more, of a LOSER as the rest of you :)

Mark Carney is going to Armenia simply to sell weapons; he’s an arms dealer. Radio‑Canada must tell the truth to the public.

Oh and..is he then supporting Canadian arms manufacturers and all the workers therein?

So in other words... To better fit your conservative biased frame of mind we've lost of our sovereignty if another country representative 'tells' us something.  Even in your make believe world that's a stretch...

Your devotion to Harper is amusing....  "he didn't tolerate any political shenanigans" 😂   No of course not, he just bent his knee to China for the almighty dollar rather than his early tough guy talk of standing up for human rights.  It's always about the dollar, and always will be about the dollar...

What am I supposed to answer about being okay with Carney doing what... China's envoy talking a warning about our relationship with Taiwan?  That's a non-sensical question... even for you.

Why are you always sticking up for Goddess?  I'm actually starting to wonder if you're one in the same...

Get the bill? What bill?

All weapons can kill people...or defend people.... that is why they are named weapons LOL
