You think criticism of Israel is antisemitism and so do the authors and signatories to this letter.

You cheer the slaughter of Palestinians that Israel is perpetrating in Gaza.

I think if anyone has to sing and dance as much to explain why they can't say " i condemn antisemitism' as much as you and the liberals do, they're pretty obviously antisemites.  I think that's pretty obvious.

For people who aren't antisemite and jew haters, it's the easiest thing in the universe to say "I hate antisemitism".   For jew haters and those who think their voters want them to be jew haters, then it's  Oh, um, er, ahh  of course it's wrong but you see there really isn't any such thing because israel plus 1948 and what do we REALLY mean when we say jew and also the stinky bastards had it coming!!!"

:) Ya hate jews. You've been quite clear. I know you like to dance around that because it's not supposed to be socially acceptable outside of your liberal circles but it's the way it is.

From the river to the sea, eyeball wishes jews would flee! :)

I find the obsession so many people have with Israel to be difficult to explain for any other reason. It is very, very far from the worst violator of human rights in the world, or even in its region. And it has more excuse than almost all those who are worse.

It's the fact it should know better that sets it apart. When a self-proclaimed civilized democracy behaves as oppressively and murderously as Israel its as shocking as when a priest abuses children.

There's no excuse for Israel violating Palestinians human rights.

The excuse is palestine declared war on them by slaughtering their civilians and now they have a right to self defense

Don't pick a fight with israel, you won't have a problem.  Gaza made it's choices.

The reason is that Palestine is resisting being oppressed and slaughtered, they have that right. Israel started it.

No its not, the only thing that's skyrocketing is your anti-Palestinian Islamophobic and above all else your anti-left rhetoric. What you do is who you are - it's no wonder you can't differentiate between a country and a race.

You seem to lack the imagination to understand what it must be like for a tiny country surrounded by a huge mass of religious fanatics who want to kill everyone in your country. Every year, every month, some of them try desperately to get into Israel just to kill a few Jews, even knowing they will die doing it. As we saw just today. You can't imagine how it must affect you growing up like that, every day of your life being aware of the threat. I have difficulty myself, but I have a very good imagination and can place myself in their position. The wonder is they don't hate Arabs more than they do.

What he said is correct, and the PLO was so listed in multiple Western countries including this one.

What you replied with is, of course, utter nonsense.

You are aware, aren't you, that in European countries now, civilized European countries like Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK, Jewish schools and often synagogues have police or paramiiltary standing outside with automatic weapons in case they are attacked. Right?

Notably, this is not necessary in countries like Hungary and Poland which have refused Muslim migrants.

The numbers show antisemitism is on the rise in Canada. Statistics Canada reports a 71 per cent increase in hate crimes targeting the Jewish population between 2022 and 2023 — with the largest increase seen after the Oct. 7 attacks and the subsequent war between Israel and Hamas.

Many Jewish day schools and synagogues have had to increase security at their campuses. Synagogues have been firebombed and vandalized. One Jewish girls school in Toronto was shot at three separate times

Yes, Netanyahu did say this was going global.

And these civilized countries have always harboured a sizable number of real anti-Semites. It's where most Jewish refugees to Palestine came from. But like I said before these sorts of attackers are comparable to fire bugs that take advantage of a heat wave.

You don't have to try and sell me on the idea there's been lots of antisemitism in Canada. Google up MS St Louis and SCC Justice Ivan Rand yourself.

Were not without the same in Canada but it's nowhere, I repeat, near skyrocketing.

Absolutely nonsense. A cheap and cheesy excuse to justify your own bad behavior and their monstrous actions.

And even if it were true which it isn't it is still the fault of Palestine for perpetuating it instead of resolving it as they had plenty of opportunities to do.

This is 100% on palestine's fault. They could have chosen peace and prosperity and had it, and instead they chose war. And they chose to hide behind their citizens and get them killed. They chose to attack food trucks and relief aid efforts. Everything that has happened has happened because they chose it

They going to live? Their homes are rubble, Their people are bankrupt and Israel is probably never going to leave Gaza entirely and will be watching over them.

They have literally burnt themselves to the ground for nothing

Then we will nuke them back and suddenly every Palestinian in the world will be hunted down and killed whether they are innocent or not. They will absolutely have been the aggressors. Sounds like the best thing to do would be to keep them as repressed and ground into the dirt as humanly possible for as long as possible to avoid that possibility. What a shame they don't choose peace they could be a prosperous people.

Historically, there never was a country called Palestine.  You are pushing a fake claim.

Israel's claim to the land goes back thousands of years.

quote

WHAT DOES "PALESTINE" MEAN?

It has never been the name of a nation or state. It is a geographical term, used to designate the region at those times in history when there is no nation or state there.

The word itself derives from "Peleshet", a name that appears frequently in the Bible and has come into English as "Philistine".  The Philistines were mediterranean people originating from Asia Minor and Greek localities.  They reached the southern coast of Israel in several waves.  One group arrived in the pre-patriarchal period and settled south of Beersheba in Gerar where they came into conflict with Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael.  Another group, coming from Crete after being repulsed from an attempted invasion of Egypt by Rameses III in 1194 BCE, seized the southern coastal area, where they founded five settlements (Gaza, Ascalon, Ashdod, Ekron and Gat).  In the Persian and Greek periods, foreign settlers - chiefly from the Mediterranean islands - overran the Philistine districts.  From the time of Herodotus, Greeks called the eastern coast of the Mediterranean "Syria Palaestina".

The Philistines were not Arabs nor even Semites, they were most closely related to the Greeks. They did not speak Arabic. They had no connection, ethnic, linguistic or historical with Arabia or Arabs. The name "Falastin" that Arabs today use for "Palestine" is not an Arabic name. It is the Arab pronunciation of the Greco-Roman "Palastina"; which is derived from the Plesheth, (root palash) was a general term meaning rolling or migratory. This referred to the Philistine's invasion and conquest of the coast from the sea.

The use of the term "Palestinian" for an Arab ethnic group is a modern political creation which has no basis in fact - and had never had any international or academic credibility before 1967.
