Do you have any idea how many millions of Hindus various Muslim warlords slaughtered during the so-called Golden age of Islam? Their incessant attacks on Europe only stopped when they fell into civil war themselves. Was that due to Islamophobia? There have been 66,800 terrorist attacks in the name of Islam since 9/11. Is that all responding to 'islamophobia'? 

I'm not seeing any progress in the Muslim world. They seem instead to be degenerating into a society of bedsheet-wearing religious fanatics.

Do you honestly think that muslims are tolerant of the LGBT community? Where is your evidence for that? 

In Iran, Afhanistan, Qatar gay sex acts can get you the death penalty right onw.

In Pakistan,  gay sex acts can get you the death penalty right now.

In Iraq they can get 15 years in jail. Iraqi jail. It's like regular jail, but with more beatings, less food, and heaping sides of religious bigotry.

In Saudi, gay sex is illegal but the penalty is uncodified (an authoritarian just arbitrarily decides the fate every time).

Egypt and Lebanon are probably the second most tolerant of gays, anywhere in the islamic world, but police still attack gays with impunity.

Turkey has some gay rights, believe it or not. In a sea of islamic bigotry and hatred towards gays, Turkey is moderately progressive in that regard. 

 

If you were gay, or a woman who refused to wear a hijab, what percent of the cities and towns do you think you could walk around in, in the muslim world, without feeling that your life was in imminent danger?

Because change comes awfully slowly to the Muslims. For example, around about the year 1200 the Muslim world largely did away with science and philsophy. The only thing anyone needed to study, their rulers waid, was the Quaran. Barbaric, yes? You'd think that wouldn't have lasted long. But it's barely changed to this day. Only 4 Muslims have ever won a nobel prize for science and all were working in the West.

So when do Muslims change and integrate? Canada studies NOTHING about its Muslims. We know nothing about their crime rate other than the constant parade of Muslim names in the papers. We know nothing of their employment rate and nothing about whether they are or are not integrating. Studying such things is not considered acceptable here. What if the study suggested bad things about Muslims? We can't have that!

In the UK, though, a number of surveys have been done and found the attitudes of Muslims there are quite hostile to the West and Western ideas. A study of British Muslims last year showed only 25% thought Hamas had commited any crimes on Oct 7, and only 24% have a negative view of Hamas. 57% want compulsory use of only Halal food in all schools and hospitals. Only 23% think it undesirable for there to be Sharia law in the UK. But hey, 27% think it would be undesirable to outlaw homosexuality. And it doesn't get any better in those born and raised in the UK.
