Even if it means they and their children suffer they will go with the liberals if there's any excuse they can possibly dredge up. But honestly I don't see things getting terribly better under Carney and at some point people will become desperate enough. Currently understands the math. But he doesn't understand the politics. He thought he could dance around things by not canceling the Anti-pipeline law and doing his special zone thing but always done is p*ss the first nations off tremendously and still make private investment too scared to do business with him. So we're going to get to the end of the year and I doubt you're going to see any pipelines built or even any plans put forward. He understands that we need to remove provincial barriers But he doesn't understand the history or why they are there or how hard that will be unless there's a lot of guidance and he doesn't know how to guide them. So everyone will sit around a table and agree and shake hands and toast and such but nothing will change He knew that we were bringing in too many people based on our resource growth for things like home, but the liberals basically slammed the brakes on. While that will temporarily reduce the cost of housing a little bit it also means the developers are going to slam the brakes on any new projects and so if he tries to start immigration up again it will be worse. And if he doesn't there will be a substantial financial hit to our economy. And politically he'll be pressured to. Sooner or later people are going to be just done with the liberals. Carney's debts are mostly massive because he's not ditching Trudeau's policies and Trump is taking advantage of our rudderless shithole country. Attorney has at least three things working against him that make this an impossible situation for him. 1 - the base, especially those who crossed from the ndp, will kill him if he cancels many of those programs. 2 - he is NOT a politician! I don't know what made the twats on the left think that you DON"T want a politician when there's serious politics to deal with but if you ARENT familiar with and experienced in the political nuances of the gov't, the provincial gov'ts and some of the major advocacy players then it becomes VERY hard to push anything through. You might in time, but it will be slow and painful. and 3 - trump isn't giving him time. Trump is putting pressure on him every day and he's trying to get something going but he just can't. His 'free trade canada" plan is failing, he's already in hot water with the first nations and quebec over pipelines, business is still fleeing the country rather than coming to invest and the world economy is weak.
