He is too lazy to read the news link I posted, he would rather believe Trump's bullshit about Newsom and smelt.

But it wasn't supposed to be.  It wasn't even a problem with the resivoir just the cover.  It had been down since february and was supposed to be operational. @Nationalist was right

Now the governor is launching an 'investigation' to look into the failure.

SO that's not much of an 'excuse'.  "down for repairs" for forever is a failure of the gov't.

Always is in hindsight.

No, as per the article that I shared it was a poor decision to begin with and now there's going to be an inquiry. If you only have one major reservoir to fight forest fires, and you know you're at high risk of forest fires, and you just let the thing sit empty for a year because the cover is broken then that isn't just a bad decision in hindsight, that's negligence.

Is that where you keep yours?

I sure do. Without hindsight the public wouldn't have the chance to hold the system to account in the next election.

I often think foresight due to having human witnesses attend all decision making processes might be more effective but then we'd have to sacrifice the privacy and secrecy politicians and bureaucrats enjoy. How could they possibly be frank and honest with one another if the public were in the room?

So yeah, thank God for hindsight and a ballot box ever 4-5 years. If we didn't have these, governments would be able to get away with murder.

Well, you do get a vote after the fact, what more do you need?

But your insisting is not their fault and people shouldn't punish them. In fact you seem to feel they should be elected again because it's the conservatives fault in the end! Just like you were willing to support the liberal government even though trudeau committed many acts of corruption blaming Stephen Harper for not passing strong enough rules. Which was ridiculous considering that it was Stephen Harper's rules that actually caught Justin but that doesn't seem to slow you down.

Hopefully the voters are smarter than you and will do the right thing in the next election and realize that if you vote woke you go up in smoke.

🤣 Harper's rules didn't do squat to slow Trudeau down either.

They did. He was forced to back off from the SNC lavalin interference that he was trying to pull. he was shamed and exposed for the corrumpt scumbag he is.

Sadly, people like you were fine with his corruption and didn't feel the need to punish him and still voted for him next election. In the end it's the voters (such as yourself) who are the biggest weakness in the system.
