Edit: I found a post @Legato made that can be classified as somewhat constructive! It only took me 5 minutes, and 3 pages of sifting through his posting history to do so. Eight days ago, he actually contributed to a topic!

It's a very strange--and false--impulse to assume one person would ignore another simply because they were challenged or uncomfortable or are for some other reason "hiding."

There are simply people in life who are not worth listening to. I walk by aggressive panhandlers. I walk by doomsday prophets. I walk by street preachers. And it has nothing to do with being uncomfortable. They literally are not worth my time. 

And there are posters on this forum who are, again quite literally, not worth my time. I don't derive any value or perspective or even amusement from their presence. It's really that simple.
