A place to discuss the acts of the MAGA movement, and retaliation from the countries they target, and it's allies.

Macron and the EU issue a statement, that Europe will not tolerate an attack on Denmark or Greenland.

These are the kind of people we are dealing with. There is only one way to deal with MAGA bullies: Beat the s**t out of them. When I worked in the oilfield in 2012-13, tons of Americans came to Canada during the fiscal crisis.  They tried to bully and threaten us.

We stood our ground pushed back, and they left with months. One American man in his 30s even had a nervous breakdown, as he was from Georgia, and was not used to people standing up to him. He then tried to sue the company, which he lost.

Canadians are stronger than Americans. If we stand up to the American menace, they will back off.

I was reading today about Trump's plans to take over Greenland, Panama, and Canada.

He shows his bully, imperialist self. Totally in the image of Putin.

And all those MAGAts that cried, "He's war averse."

They never really knew him, did they?

We have to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Let's build up our military, I would float the idea of making military service compulsory for one year.

If the US invaded, we would have to absorb them at first and then bleed them out over time. They lost to the Viet Namese and the Taliban. After the invasion, we will have "the right to bear arms. When you combine the regular force with the reserves and the almost half million vets, they will not have a pleasent time. We also have the advantage of access to their homeland. That's not something the Taliban and the Viet Cong had. As "Americans," we can travel anywhere in the continental US and terrorize them. It would likely take many years, but they would leave eventually.

Of course, in 1472 days, a different administration will take office and will undo everything President Trump may or may not do. The US is a great nation of generous friendly people. If you are going to be conquered, you could not find a nicer over lord.

This is all just fun and ill mannered humour. The US will not invade.

The problem is that the US is not in a rational place right now. They are in the grips of a mass psychosis orchestrated by Trump. Their exalted dear leader has the power to lead them to some very dark places.

putting aside that the Vietnamese suffered over 3 million killed

then in the wake of American withdraw suffered a decade long famine

before coming back to America cap in hand for a bailout in 1986 upon the death of Communist dictator Le Duan

there is no need whatsoever for America to invade Canada

as President Trump has already said;  he will simply employ economic force

to wit, an economic blockade in effect, will bring so called "Canada" to its socialist knees, nary a shot fired

Hurrah ! Hurrah ! We bring the Jubilee,

Hurrah ! Hurrah ! The flag that makes you free . . .

that's an amusing adolescent power fantasy

obviously incited by your impotence in this case

since there is nothing for you to hit in economic warfare

certainly Canada could be foolish enough to impose retaliatory tariffs

but that will simply backfire upon Canadians

they would in fact be paying for Trump's wall on the Canadian border therein

Canada retaliating would actually accelerate business fleeing Canada for the safety in America

along with the downward spiral of the Canadian currency, which offsets any tariff price increases for Americans

while causing even more inflation in Canada

it's no wonder Canadians are panicking

Trump is a joke. He can't help that he's stupid and crazy. But the fools who decided to give him real power are the real problem. He's not even in office yet and he's turned America into a laughingstock again.

That press conference... Good Lord. 70 minutes of pure rambling insanity.

The Gulf of America?

What a dipshit.

but the Founding Fathers themselves invaded Canada, twice

it was Thomas Jefferson who said that annexing Canada was "merely a matter of marching"

so Donald Trump liberating Canada from the tyranny of monarchy by economic force

is actually rather enlightened by American historical standards

I would argue the American Empire has been in decline for decades. The wealth gap between rich and poor was relatively narrow in the 70s. The civil rights movement, workers rights, post-war boom, and improved quality of life made the US the richest and most powerful country in the World.

It can be argued that beginning in the 80s, the powers that be, paved the way for greed and individualism. Tax cuts to the wealthy, deregulation, and eliminating the fairness doctrine, allowed the mindset that Americans have in regards to "get rich whatever means necessary" regardless if it's damaging to the community.

A turning point could be 9/11. Americans were bloodthirsty, invaded nations that had nothing to do with 9/11, and curtailed freedoms through the Patriot Act. Not regulating the internet has proven to be disastrous. Most Americans, and a significant amount of Canadians now have no idea what to believe, whether it be vaccines, race relations, science, climate change, or anything else.

Donald Trump is more of a symptom of the illness. I mean can you envision the founding fathers proceeding with the Second Amendment, if they had the knowledge that guns were going to be used for thousands of school shootings, gang warfare, and crime?

I wouldn't be so cocky, Canader

as President Trump has said ; America desperately needs Canada's water

yet Canada refuses to export it

look at the firestorm burning Los Angeles to the ground as the cities fire hydrants run dry

the catastrophic consequence of Climate Change are making Canada a prize worth annexing now

that's not going away in 2028

America is not invading

America is simply liberating so called "Canada" from tyranny

the only claim on the lands in "Canada" is the Treaty of Paris 1763

wherein the defeated French Imperial House of Bourbon

signed "Nouvelle France" over to the British Imperial House of Hanover,  as a war prize

which the Canadian government itself has declared to be a "White Supremacist Genocidal" regime

so not only is the legal claim that "Canada" is the property of "King Charles III" a tenuous one indeed

which America is in no way bound to uphold

but even Canadians don't believe in it anymore, even the majority of Canadians declaim their own monarch

the Fenians are once again at the gates

yet there are no Hanoverians left in Canada to stop them this time

Best three out of five? They're already down two....

Canada only survived because of the Royal Navy keeping the sea lanes open

but once the Americans built a navy which the starved the Confederates out

that's when the balance of power shifted

that is when London decided that it could not defend Canada from an American blockade anymore

at which point, America came to dominate Canada without ever having to invade again

such violence was much more commonplace in the 18th century

they had Indian gangs going around kidnapping, torturing & mass murdering women & children

it wasn't a pampered precious paradise where the Founding Fathers would be shocked by death

life was nasty brutish and short, and children were dying all the time, with no medical treatment

they didn't wet their pants like the contemporary media every time somebody was killed violently

they settled scores by duelling with pistols in the streets, they hung people in public executions

public executions were recreational, people in the 18th century watched them like sporting events

there was no ambulance, no hospital, people died in writhing agony as a routine

they fully expected their children to die young,

40% of children in the 18th century died by the age of 15

it's funny how you perceive this society as being more violent than that society

the 18th century would be utterly terrifying to the soft as warm baby shit 21st century

the Founding Fathers would view this civilization as being safe & secure beyond belief

although they too would surely notice

that the overwhelming majority of gun violence was black people shooting black people

while being educated men, they could calculate that school shootings were extremely rare

the odds of being killed a school shooting being 1 in 1.575 million

which is less than the odds of being struck by lightning

I would say that the Founding Fathers would quickly figure out what your problem was

this thing called the "mass media" was whipping you up into an hysterical frenzy

so that you are willing to give up your God given rights

to a bunch of sneering upper class twits in Ottawa claiming the authority of the British Crown

you don't really have an education, literally everything you supposedly know

is just Liberal Party of Canada hysterical anti-American propaganda

disseminated by your lunatic leftist public school system

you are brainwashed like a North Korean therein

like a South Park caricature of a Canadian

FOX News is the propaganda wing of the MAGA movement.

Note that pumping up aggressive militarism is exactly how Hitler prepared the nation for his wars. We are not talking any stretches here. It's all real.

"Can't happen in America and to it"?

"Leader of the free world"?

Don't hold your breath. All bets are off. Down the mindless fascist drain, in America.

LOL.

Trump can actually sit through a press conference and answer questions.

You guys supported an old man with dementia.

The adults are back in charge now. No more letting the world burn while you care more about hating America. It is telling that what really upsets you the most is that he wants to call The Gulf of Mexico The Gulf of America.

Oh now! Not America. You guys hate America.

Europe can't even stop Islam. I see the US taking all of it in less than a week. ;)
