Fluffypants Posted January 7, 2025 Report Posted January 7, 2025 I watched the certification and the cheers when she had to say 312 votes for Trump and then she had to say 226 votes that she got and it was super awkward. Quote

It's out of character with how the average person is, I think, and that itself should be heartening. If you get down over all of this, try to remember that you are looking at an awakening of the lumpen proletariat, who are bleary-eyed looking around trying to figure which public figures are on their side. They may yet figure something out Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner

Hodad Posted January 7, 2025 Report Posted January 7, 2025 Remarkably, she didn't declare herself the winner. No coup attempt? So old fashioned. 1 Quote

herbie Posted January 7, 2025 Report Posted January 7, 2025 Yes some of the locals seem surprised that the confirmation went normally as it always has except for Trump's one assholy display of storming the Capitol. Completely violated their perception that they are the true patriots. Quote

Not really, it's always been the democrat tradition to try and steal the election before the inauguration, So we already knew they'd failed And lets get real, NOBODY was going to storm the capital for Kamala! I doubt she could round up enough support to storm a phone booth. This thread was more about the shame and agony it must have caused Giggela to have to admit her failure and crown the man she maligned as a nazi day in and day out as president and acknowledge he beat her ass off.
