What truth was that, that Americans had a chance to vote in a women and blew it....perhaps Americans seen through her and threw their vote for what they thought was the best choice....It was not our PM place to say anything about the US election except to congratulate the winner... slagging the soon to be President of the US, our largest trade partner, our protector, is not a good strategy for any side of the political strips...your looking for a fight our PM can not even begin to fight....

There's no legitimate case to be made that Kamala Harris was a serious candidate. In the hundred-plus days that she was a candidate she didn't have a single good interview. She took zero interviews for 75 days, and the very few interviews that she cherry-picked over the last 25 days were a disaster. The CBS interview was awful, and they even changed one of her answers for her. 

She had a horrible record as VP, and an even worse record for dodging accountability for her horrible record as VP. 

Her running mate was a convicted drunk-driver who lied to Americans about being a combat vet.

Smith is an embarrassment to Canada. I can't believe the UCP chose her for as a leader, but that is a different story. She's a Conspiracy Theory nut. 

At any rate, the playbook is out on Trump. We have to play hardball with him. By not cooperating with Ottawa, and other Canadian provinces, she is weakening our bargaining position. If she wants to join the US this desperately, just have a referendum already, and when over 75% of Canadians vote to stay in confederation, boot her out of the province.

I'm not offended by Trump's joke. 

If you pick your candidates mainly because of DEI that's your right. There is no getting around the fact that Harris was not a good candidate. Most Americans thought so too. Nobody has been able to name any notable accomplishments by VP Harris to date.

Actual decision makers couldn't care less about an off the cuff remark a most likely outgoing head of government says. The people that do make decisions ie. Governors, CEOs, etc.. care only about the bottom line.
