August1991 Posted October 31, 2024 Report Posted October 31, 2024 I reckon this is serious. The federal NDP has made plain that they will not support Trudeau Jnr. Poilievre will vote against. Will the BQ fold? ==== Quebecers, they always fold. Quote

Start your position off with an untruth and you're the one going off a cliff. To even think the NDP will do anything that benefits the Tories more themselves is a pure pipedream. The nearly 4 million Canadians who've received or been approved to receive the dental care the NDP forced into existence can see perfectly well what and who they stand for - 4 million Canadians with lots of family members probably taking notice as well. And the number of eligible Canadians will soon grow to 9 million. Singh hit the nail on the head when he pointed out the Poilievre/Bloc coalition are just playing games. herbie Posted November 1, 2024 Report Posted November 1, 2024 One million dental procedures paid for by new dental program so far. Reported n\by every news source, so of course they'll say it's a lie. Quote

Yeah the dental plan is great. I'm not complaining. But what about everything else?? So as long as you own your own home, have a family doctor, and can afford the inflated costs of everything else... you've got it made don't you? Quote
August1991 Posted November 1, 2024 Author Report Posted November 1, 2024 Singh folded. Telford etc knew beforehand. ==== We are witnessing the death of the federal Liberal Party - a political party that joined different Canadians - the radical centre. Quote

So as long as you own your own home, have a family doctor, and can afford the inflated costs of everything else... you've got it made don't you? In theory at least. I look at it as a symbol of the government finally getting around to doing the right thing for a change. For all our other steps backwards sideways and round and round we finally got one that progressed forward. It'll probably take a similarly rare alignment of stars to do away with daylight savings time - another thing governments like to talk about but never get around to doing. I really like the fact a left leaning socially minded political party in a majority government was able to wield its power to make this happen. I'm an even bigger fan of minority governments now. I've been wearing dentures for almost 15 years now so it's not like dental care will be anything I'll use. And yes I'm pretty sure I can get by without an increase in my OAS for a few more years too.
