In Canada, people arrived at my door to help me complete a complicated census form.

A US ballot has always reminded me of a Canadian census form.

It's not even close.  And it's illegal for them to 'help you fill it out' and then take it to mail for you,  And mail in ballots are not automatically sent out now, that was for covid.

In Canada, in our federal and provincial elections, we vote for one candidate. Our ballot is short and sweet (except recently,)

In America, depending on state and county, a ballot is as complicated as a Canadian census form.

Everybody in the country fills out those senses forms without help. Americans have been voting without help for generations.  

You are the only one who finds a census form so complicated that you require help. And no, the US balance are not terribly complicated at all.

And it is Thoroughly illegal to help someone finish their ballot and then go mail it for them like the census people do if there's a problem

I have compared this idea - a US vote/ballot and a Canadian census form. Very similar. Both are complicated with many questions.

Now, imagine if I could pay people to help you complete your form.....
