Oh are you arguing that Kamala Harris does not possess any black culture and was purely just making this up? Even though she's half black and has been around black people most of her life?

Being 1/4 black doesn't give her a southern accent. If she goes to Britain do you suppose she talks to British blacks in a British accent? If she goes to Congo does she speak with an African accent?

You say your wife reverts to an accent she had growing up when you go to Mississippi. Do you adopt a southern accent when you go?

Her dad was black and she grew up around black people. So that's not the same as me traveling to mississippi and pretending to to speak with a southern accent.

Leftists have this habit of constantly making you debate the most ridiculous things. Is it a strategy they use to keep you occupied? Is it a result of believing in nothing and seeing all things as relative? Is it a combination of both?

You're the ones bringing up this ridiculous argument of whether a black woman is black or not. Of course she's black. She chose to go to an all-black university. But no matter where she went, her father is black and she says she is black and it's ridiculous that you knuckleheads want to make an issue of it.

She was always of Indian heritage... I didn't know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black. So I don't know, is she Indian, or is she Black?"

"She was Indian all of the way, and then all the sudden, she  became a Black person — and I think, I think somebody should look into that."

Are they.

Talk about that.

Discuss what you think the overwhelming positives are about DEI in just about every f*cking facet of American society.

The argument here is about her accent.

The accept Kamala got from living in California, or Maryland, or Canada? She is who she is.

That isn't racist. He is accusing her of using her racial background to gain favor when it is convenient. You can argue that he is wrong. But it is not racist to accuse someone of using their race, even if, for the sake of argument, it is a wrongful accusation. It does not mean he favors one race.  You are essentially accusing Donald Trump of being racist and playing racial politics because he dared to accuse someone of playing racial politics. Maybe you are racist?

This is another thing I notice that leftists do. When a political opponent mentions race or suggests that someone of another race could play a race card or a gender card, that itself is labelled racist. This is one way they have dominated the racial debate for years and conservatives have caved to it. Even if one is wrong in their accusation it does not automatically follow that they believe one race is superior in anyway.

You know how I know she is not being who she is and that the accent is not some natural phenomenon. Because she does it really badly! She sounds more like Michael Scott than a southern black person. It's a fake accent because it sounds fake.

What are you talking about?

The debate agreement was with Biden, not Harris. Harris is not even the official nominee yet. All Trump has basically said is that she isn't the nominee yet and his deal was with Biden.

So he is chickening out. Of course he wouldn't debate her if she doesn't become the nominee.

No, he is being clever. Why agree to a debate with someone who isn't even the nominee after Biden dropped out who he had the agreement with?

Hell, before Biden dropped out, she demanded JD Vance debate her in the VP debates... and guess what, JD Vance and the Trump team were correct when they said they had no idea who was going to be the VP candidate at this rate and they would wait.

So questioning someone's sudden switch of accent is racist and bigoted?

The Rules for Liberal tactics:

  1. If they can't refute the content, attack the source.
  2. If they can't refute the content, attack the poster.
  3. If 1 and 2 fail, pretend it never happened.
  4. Everyone you disagree with is Hitler.
  5. A word is defined by the emotion it elicits and not the actual definition.
  6. If they are wrong, blame the opponent.
  7. If a liberal policy didn't work, it's a conservatives fault and vice versa.
  8. If all else fails, just be angry.

This thread started by pointing out the stupidity of her phony accent and you have spent most of it trying to absurdly defend it instead of just admitting the obvious.

Pretty obvious you’re a racist.

Kamala was raised in Oakland, California and went to the all-black Howard University in Maryland. You racist clowns aren’t going to impress anyone or win any votes by talking about whether she is or isn’t black or Indian. She is both. And you are a racist. This strategy of insulting her race is not going to work

Howard University, not all black. Historically black but not all black about 2/3rds of the students are black.

There is nothing racist about accusing someone of faking an accent. You can believe that someone is doing that without believing one race to be superior to another. And the accent sounds "put on". That's because it is. She is just not that good at it.

Rebound habitually has no regard for saying factual information. I am not sure all of it is outright lies, but the complete disregard for even caring if what he says is accurate or not is still a level of dishonesty.

Well it's interesting to me that with all of this going on it's been 11 days since she was declared the presumptive nominee and she still hasn't even held a press conference.

I think she is very worried about America seeing her all at once. I think she's trying to go and pretend that she is black to black people, young to young people, gay and trans supportive to gay and trans people etc as individual groups first.

She's probably test driving a number of various things as well, and possibly waiting to put together a campaign with some professional advice. But normally you would have expected her to have held at least one press conference and faced questions by this point

Typical MAGA baloney.
Trump said, “She became a black person.” Now you’re backpedaling and pretending he said something different.  He wasn’t even asked about that, he just blurted it out and it’s nothing but a racist tirade.
Her mother is Indian and her father is black. The more you fools talk about it, the more ridiculous you sound.  Give it up.

And she used to present herself as an indian person and now presents as a black person with black accent when talking to black people.

In other words - she changes how she identifies to fit the group she's talking to.

You've proved the point.

This thread is about her putting on an accent. Pay attention.

But yeah Trump is saying she claims she is black or Indian depending on the audience. Once again, I am not defending that claim. I simply said it's not racist to accuse someone of playing up different racial identities in front of different audiences.
