'I can’t wait to defund the CBC': Pierre Poilievre doubles down on plan to axe CBC after board approves bonuses

I stopped reading after that. I didn't defend anything, I just pointed out your silliness. Not my fault if you can't take criticism...

LOL. How many times now have you gotten outraged at some banal statement I've made and stomped out of the room vowing to put me on ignore forever? The amusing thing is I was never even trying to insult you. But you're just incredibly sensitive to certain things.

You're funny.

I am well familiar with the limits of the ignore feature.

You have never angered me.  In fact you're a better than average poster but you're notable for occasional posts that are off-the-scale drool-soaked retarded. 🤣

It's quite something.

I can see that.

One thing we do know is that TV stations don't ask the news readers what the content should be... 🤣

They absolutely do.  Sorry if you didn't know that but the 'newsreaders' in canada are usually active participants in researching the stories. At many stations they're also the senior editor.

Name me a news anchor that isn't involved in the stories.

You just say any old shit that pops into your teeny tiny head don't you.

Ah well, the reason people like you don't see it is that they echo your own beliefs, your own repugnance at our history and the state of society, your own contempt at the thought of protecting our culture and values. I doubt you take in any news that isn't from the CBC lest a stray impure thought pass through your head.

See what, the bias? Bias is everywhere. What I don't see is you using the bias setting on your bullshit filter. I don't have any issues with impure thoughts, whatever that means.

What I doubt is that it's ever dawned on you to filter your own thoughts on occasion - that's probably the most important thing a bs filter is for.

Instead of imagining what everyone else is thinking you should try getting to know yourself better.

I know myself quite well. And I've never adhered to any particular political group or party. I am not an admirer of the conservatives at any level, don't like Doug Ford, am largely unimpressed with Poilievre, and despise Trudeau and Singh. My views are all across the political and social map and I can see the flaws in everyone in politics.

Your views, on the other hand, are rigidly, tightly, and permanently welded to the Left on every subject you speak about. So don't talk to me about bias, boy.

Yeah? Go and look back on any of your posts where Muslims are discussed, or trans. You also are often a reasonable poster, but not on those subjects. On those subjects, you're a hair-on-fire screaming fanatic who apparently sees himself as a white knight defending the helpless.

Ok.  Thanks 🙏🏻

If you have an example of my screaming fanaticism post it, and I might retract. I too have bad days. 🙂

When it comes to rights, I support dialogue and the legal system as a backstop as conservatives do.

Of course I'm biased but not as rigidly, tightly, and permanently welded as your own bias informs you.

I still am, I use the same business number for GST that I remit from bnb revenue now. I unincorporated when I sold off the company's assets but kept the bn.

I'm not surprised. You still seem to think you're conservative.

LOL  -  considering he probably thinks castro was a centrist it's only fair he'd believe he was right of 'center'.

What on Earth is a bias unit?

Btw, are conservative politicians in other countries rushing to do away with their public broadcasters for the same reason as our's? Are conservatives everywhere suffering from the same moral panic gripping conservatives here, or is this a uniquely Canadian paranoia?

Why do Canadians need a taxpayer funding TV/radio like the CBC anyway? Just asking.

As a counterweight to Canada's privately and largely American owned corporate MSM and the news in particular.

Most countries with wealth have a public public television service.  CbC is actually very well trusted.

Canada appears to be the only country succumbing to the right wing moral panic that the CBC is brainwashing everyone with left wing propaganda. Maybe it's because right wing conservatives in other countries use their public broadcasters to rinse all that out when it's their turn.

That's purty smert...uh hum uh huh.

The enraged mob that 'heard about' the left wing slant as they've never even tuned to CBC. They heard it so often it's become Conservative dogma.

Bruno Gerussi was a communist
North of 60 was anti-white
Cynthia Dale was ugly, Street Legal didn't have enough shootings
Vinyl Cafe was too woke
Who needs Hockey Night in Canada when you can pay more for SportsNet than the entire CBC costs you?
The Nature of Things is enviro leftist propaganda for elitist snobs.

Pretending that there's no slant when there obviously is (and dozens of examples have been discussed on this board)  is why the conservatives won't settle for anything but cancelling.  There is no working with you people, no honesty from  you that might give hope to address the very obvious issues, no reason to think it would ever get better.

So scrap it.

The left's ignorance and lies has turned Canadians away from climate change, away from immigration, away from refugees and away from the CBC.  All iconic canadian issues.   Well done.  Next time if you ever get the shot at power consider honesty and listening to other people.
