You're wrong. Trump is sticking it hard to Canadians with stupid tariffs, and they are boycotting US in entirety.

ICE mistreatment of foreigners is a small factor because Canadians are white, but that doesn't help.

Uh, no. That os just the fantasy world you want to live in. The reality is that the CAD was on par with the USD 12 years ago. Now, it is $0.73 or 27% less than the USD. That means that everything they buy here is just that much more expensive. So, yes, they come here less and go to places that have favorable currency rates like Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. 

FYI, you don't pay tariffs on things you buy in the US and take home.

FYI, you don't pay tariffs on things you buy in the US and take home.

No kid this is one of those one in a trillion times that he's actually right. There is a huge movement in Canada to boycott American goods and America. Our dollar has been this low many times in the past and has never stopped us from coming across the border.

You can say a lot of positive things about trump and you can think he does an overall good job. But he turned and p*ss in the face of one of your greatest allies for no good reason and ruined that relationship and I wouldn't expect it to come back soon. Even if the tariffs vanish tomorrow we would spend less money with you

It's unfortunate. It wasn't just the tariffs was the constant insults. But Americans are far less welcome in Canada and Canadians are not interested in spending money in America. we buy less groceries, we don't buy your booze anymore, People are beginning to avoid American cars.

I don't know anyone boycotting American goods or America, and definitely have not stopped drinking American booze, other than the odd Elbows Up simpleton.  And Americans are not far less welcome in Canada, at least not where I live.  As for avoiding American cars, I'll keep driving Fords forever.
