QuebecOverCanada Posted April 9 Report Posted April 9 Like Canada, NZ has had way too many immigrants in a short span without the infrastructures required to welcome them. NZ's government has taken action, and will prevent employers from hiring foreign workers in areas as in to which there is no labour shortage. A problem New Zealand has had was also that many Kiwis were leaving the country to go to Australia as many of the well paying jobs in New Zealand were given by the employers to foreigners. They lost many of their own constituents, productive ones at that, because the elite wanted cheap labour. It's important that we start to realize that other nations face the same problems Canada is facing, and they find solutions. Why couldn't we replicate what New Zealand just did? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c25l0vxpnd8o 1 Quote
Moonlight Graham Posted April 9 Report Posted April 9 The big corporations want the cheap labour, see. Cheap labour, more consumers, more profit. Illegals in the US are the new African slaves, driven by the money-makers. Nobody actually cares about us lowly workers. Anyone who thinks politicians work for us is a naive fool, they work for themselves. Their #1 priority isn't their constituents or their country, it's maintaining their own power. 1 1 Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.

Disagree. Look at net immigrant data. Unlike Australia (or New Zealand) where migrants stay, immigrants to Canada often leave south. ===== Canada is the US immigration/filtering system. Of course, since Biden and 2020, this has changed. Edited April 10 by August1991 Quote

Disagree strongly. Infrastructure? ====== Canada is a large country. Lotsa space. Yet, I reckon that some Canadians don't want more neighbours. I recently had a chat with a home-owner -single home- in Vancouver on this very question. Edited April 10 by August1991 Quote

But I want to make plain- Quebecers are good at integrating foreigners. Quote

Economic slavery is the new Libbie way. This time, they'll create a bigger problem than early black slavery did. But the politicians will get wealthy. -TSS- Posted April 13 Report Posted April 13 NZ is at the bottom of the world far away from everything. Unless aeroplanes become faster in the future, or some other forms of transport, the idea of living in NZ is just out of the question. Quote
Aristides Posted April 19 Report Posted April 19 NZ is a wonderful country. Beautiful geography, nice cities and people, the police still don’t carry firearms, civilized. If I wasn’t already a Canuck I would like to be a Kiwi. Being so isolated is both a blessing and a curse, like sharing the worlds longest land border with the US. Quote
Nationalist Posted April 20 Report Posted April 20 NZ would be a wonderful place for retirement...we're it not a day's flight away. I need to get there and experience it. Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.
