Donald Trump filed a motion to delay his Federal trial in the E Jean Carroll defamation lawsuit, arguing that he wanted to testify but needed to first attend his mother in law’s funeral on January 17. 
 

Judge Kaplan denied the request, noting that in Trump scheduled a campaign rally in New Hampshire on January 17:

Guess what? The guy who saved America was Roosevelt. FDR prepared America for WW II despite the "America First" Republicans, who wanted us to be Nazi allies. They frequently blocked funding for critical war preparations. 

Roosevelt got weapons developed anyway, then he mobilized America like never before or since. We entered WW II way behind the 8-ball in 1942 and marched through the streets of defeated Berlin by June, 1945 and Tokyo in August, 1945. If the GOP was in charge, they would have been arguing which arm to put their swastikas on.

1. You're high. Roosevelt & Co. provoked Japan into attacking Pearl Harbor - not because it was in America's best interest - but because he needed to satisfy his bloodlust and thirst for power. He did manage to finagle a third term for presidency, but I'm sure he much more preferred to be crowned supreme dictator instead. 

2. The courts aren't meant to be wielded by political activists, and abuse of power is exactly what's been happening.
