The hate will only stop when inaction against rising levels of antisemitism turns into action against the violent and hateful protesters

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators who either make hateful remarks or threaten violence against others have been largely left alone by our men and women in uniform. (Other than meaningless noise bylaw tickets, which were handed out recently to protesters in Ottawa.)

As for pro-Israel counter-demonstrators, who don’t typically hide under masks and are more identifiable, at least one has been arrested for allegedly threatening protesters who had invaded her neighbourhood.

Why have the police in cities like Toronto and Montreal allowed rage, hatred and antisemitism to run amuck?

It's getting bad and the police do nothing.

Because this is how the multi-culti quagmire raises its ugly head.

For further reference see J. Trudeau, "post-national state".

Are you saying you weren't saying something different when it was the protesters who shut down Ottawa who were breaking the law?  (ie. criminal mischief Sec. 430 (1) Criminal Code of Canada)

Screaming death to someone,is uncanadian. And in Ottawa  it was police in -action that allowed a few bad apples to get stupid. And the failure of the PM for not being a leader and sit down with them, instead of calling them nasty names.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

I'm not sure what the police could do about hate unless the protesters are shouting 'death to Jews' or something similar. An individual saying it to someone else privately is not, afaik illegal. And trying to persuade a judge to jail someone over 'from the river to the sea Palestine will be free' is probably futile as the phrase is arguably about two different things. I know, I know it's calling for the end of Jews in Israel, but knowing and proving aren't the same thing.

What the police could and should do is clear the bloody streets. Allowing people to basically occupy roads, highways and bridges without going in and dragging them off in handcuffs is a dereliction of their duty to enforce the law and maintain order. At first, they could be forgiven for standing back as tempers were hot, but it's been months now and they're still shutting down highways and bridges and trying to shut down roads to airports and other major roads.

Enough is enough. You should be able to hold a demonstration in a specified area for a specified time. You should not be allowed to just parade up and down a major artery during rush hour while the citizens fume. Anyone who does that should be arrested and charged and released only on a peace bond. If they go back and do it again they go to jail for thirty days or so. The crowds will dwindle rapidly. As it stands the only ones getting the slightest penalty are the ones in Ottawa being fined for using megaphones, but from what I understand they don't have to pay the fines anyway as their supporters take care of that.

I might add that there's evidence the Chinese are helping organize these things as a way to further divide Canadians. If we had a government that didn't cringe away at the thought of taking the slightest action against China someone would have done something about THAT by now.

Are you asking me or the national post?

Police inaction (against something legal) is allowing (something with a perceived correlation) to fester.

So threatening to kill police is legal?

According to the news, some police brought Tim Horton's coffee to the protesters on the overpass in Toronto where they are protesting in a Jewish neighbourhood.  This was criticized by some politicians apparently.  But politicians have generally not united to oppose these protesters who are intimidating people and spreading hate against the Jews.
