Obese loud mouth who will stab people in the back for power? Huh...sounds American to me...

You might be right. Christie might well be committing political Hari Kari.

Unlike the other Trump sycophants, Christie is def "stab" in the FRONT.

Maybe not to those of you in the MAGA CULT, who believe Trump is unassailable.

As he runs again for a second term, Trump is vowing to “dismantle the deep state” and ensure that the government he would inherit aligns with his vision for the country. Unlike during his 2016 campaign, however, Trump and his supporters on the right—including several former high-ranking members of his administration—have developed detailed proposals for executing this plan.

Duh duh daaaa!

I thought it was DeSantis who was "going to start slitting throats on day one.”

Did Trump join that insanity?

"AHHH TRUMP!!! HATE HATE HATE TRUMP!!! DESTROY ALL OF AMERICA IF THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES TO GET TRUMP!!!"

Frankly robo-dweeb...I find you deplorable and in fact...an enemy of the state.

Robo...That you even consider folks who want to Make America Great Again, unsavoury...tells anyone paying attention, that you dislike America. Your positions echo that conclusion. You're bent on destroying America.

You don't even understand the IMPLICATIONS of MAGA even though you've been told about them.

Trump's MAGA has already been destroyed; he's all about returning to some imagined "great" era.

Like when gay persecution was deriguire and blacks "knew their place."

Tell us WHEN you believe America was "great." I say it is NOW.

Thanks for admitting that you're off the rails on the crazy train. Fortunately you Canucks can't vote thus do not matter.

Yeah, sure, but I'm sure you can imagine what the guys who are setting this up look like.

I'll tell you one thing: they don't look like people who have regular jobs.  To replace the ACA they have to replace it with something.  Politically, Trump has always answered questions by touting his coming plan over and over again.

Whoever this crack team of throat-slitters are, they are not the kind of guys who can implement a large and complicated benefits program.

To add: When I said Trump isn't able to "make" things, i didn't mean:

- Program cuts
- Angry noises
- Threats
- Trouble

He can do all that.  Sometimes it works for America, even.  I do want to point out that USMCA was a success for Mexican workers (although that was the Dem congress' doing, and Trump may not be aware) and that the China trade sanctions haven't been revised.

Who knows... Canada could end up with a new favoured-status N. American trade zone, or we could get nuked.  Fun.

And that's why you are an enemy of America. Nobody wants to persecute gay people and only you Libbies are actually racist.

When was America great? When the border was under control. When fuel was affordable. When inflation was under control. When America wasn't spending itself into an abyss. When America actually produced something other than debt. It was sometime before the notion that a guided tour through the Capital building was"insurrection" because you don't happen to like the folks on the tour.

Tell us the DATE, dummy.

Which is probably NOTHING. And you'll never know how they voted.

Perhaps the last time America was really "great"...IMO...would be the Reagan years. Even then though, the "American Dream" was already fading. The early to mid '60's were pretty good. But that you need a date is comical. Argumentative and hollow.

I will never know unless they tell me. I don't ask. Its personal. Or at least it was supposed to be personal till a bunch o' cheaters found the indispensably valuable tool called...dropboxes for mailin ballots. But ya...I may never know. I will know, however, that they belly up to the ballot, well informed.

Trump seems more focused on talking about vermin and blood poisoning these days which is concerning even to Godwin himself. I think its safe to say he means the left and immigrants probably in that order.

“You could say the ‘vermin’ remark or the ‘poisoning the blood’ remark, maybe one of them would be a coincidence,” Godwin said. “But both of them pretty much make it clear that there’s something thematic going on, and I can’t believe it’s accidental.”

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/12/19/godwins-law-trump-hitler-00132427

I mean, so long as Trump's generals don't start talking about America's precious bodily fluids things should remain more or less on the comical side. Right?

They could probably still do a fair bit of damage to it - like the gang-who-can't-shoot-straight but in a slasher snuff-flick format.

The real damage could be deeper and more lasting if another Trump term results in a worsening level of disappointment and disillusionment. The right-wing will always remain a direction instead of a place which makes me mindful of David Frum's observation that Republicans will give up on democracy before giving up on power.

1. I concur.  I think what I haven't considered is that these guys are hell bent on pouring a full can of Pepsi onto the control panel.  Who knows what will melt down from 2025 onwards.

2. Also I concur.  What a shame that Americans became so wealthy and coddled that they thought the whole world just runs on its own without an attentive public.

No, it's the ONLY thing that makes MAGA related to REALITY instead of just a MYTH.

The fact is, racism and gay persecution was rampant in the '60s. Jim Crow was killed by the race riots of the '60s.

I saw that very thing happen to the control panel in the wheelhouse once. It was a mess.

What's ridiculous and dangerous is the sense that America, and especially it's right-wing, is the victim here.

I see men claiming they are women and can compete with them. America is already a clown country. I don't see what more Putin could do.

And what the hell does that or a stupid meme have to do with the issue? Trying to revert to the distraction the wokeness IS the main issue and the Republican can do dick shit about it?

The issue is he is threatening the Health care of many Americans, after originally lying in his first campaign that he would do something about exactly that, specifically cancel Obamacare and replace it with something much better (os So much better) for all. He didn't. simply attempted to end or subvert it, and now outright campaigns on that.

scientific knowledge

Pseudo knowledge. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness.

Being gender nonconforming isn't anything new, and is perfectly normal. Chopping your d*** off because you feel like a woman, is not. Treatment being required, is the hint.

If you're not starting with that, you're not working with facts to begin with.

If you had a job, you could buy a home and raise a family in the 60's.

Gay persecution will always exist and it's a good thing that the segregation laws were dona away with. Not a bad thing. Unless of course...you're a Democrat.

Sorry Doctor Pspek, you're not qualified to make that determination.

it's NOT REQUIRED PHYSICALLY, it is done to relieve mental distress.

We never had any gay segregation laws. The persecution was never THAT BAD. Just the denial of equal rights which no longer exists.

Because if so, MAGA isn't going to help with this problem.

Much more so, if any other voices are firmly silenced.

Do you mean before Reagan and the supply-siders gutted unions and dismantled the middle class?

You forgot doubling the debt and closing mental institutions and dumping the residents on the street.
