It’s hard to believe in Bob Menendez. His story is so garish. Look at the gold bars this time and the exporter of halal meat (really) who wasn’t even a Muslim. For a politician, he showed little skill at the vital game of brown envelopes and should have been deselected by his own party after the last brush with justice:

Corruption isn’t a particular vice of the MAGA movement. They have just as much as any other faction. It’s their approach to America’s problems that pose the difficulty. That level of tribalism, paranoia and irrationality are incompatible with a modern pluralistic state. 

BTW the person at the centre of last corruption trial Menendez went through, Dr. Salomon Melgen, was pardoned by Trump.

1) Indictments don't mean anything anymore, and 2) I doubt that there's as much evidence against Bobby and his wife as there is against Joe & Hunter.

This is just another Al Franken/Bill Morneau/Kevin Clinesmith case: they throw a small fry under the bus to make it look they are serious about dealing with corruption, that way they can keep on pretending that their big guys aren't the blatant crooks we can all see.

You’re so confused that when the FBI finds boxes and boxes of over 100 classified documents in a guy’s house… you give it a pass. When the FBI finds $100,000’s of cash and gold bars in another guy’s house, and he cannot explain how he earned those things… meh… it’s ok. But when someone claims Biden received money, even though there is no banking or any other record showing he received any money at all… you’re ready to convict.  
 

Here is the simple thing to know about Democrats: If there’s any evidence presented proving that Joe Biden received money in exchange for political favors, he’d be done. We’d all call for his resignation and we’d find another candidate.  Cause we don’t need a dictator. There’s always another person who can do the job. The firing of the corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor does not count, because it’s been documented that his firing was already the policy of the U.S. government, the 28 countries of the EU, the World Bank and the IMF. They ALL wanted the guy fired, so… NO, his firing was not a corrupt act.
