But it was not the media that speculated. It was the victims.

It was the media who allowed for speculation to be aired which would lead any reasonable person to believe they were suggesting the Convoy tried to burn down an apartment building with people inside.

The mayor and other politicians like Jagmeet Singh, wrecklessly stated that the Convoy was trying to burn down an apartment building with a bunch of people inside.

On another note, if this guy actually claimed to be a Convoy protester and the people in the building were in fact telling the truth about their encounter, it proves that there are in fact agitators not sympathetic toward to Convoy that do things to discredit and certainly raises suspicion about other stories like Nazi flag guy

You say this now, but at the time, you were fully on board with the whole " Trucker Convoy is nothing but white supremacists, racists, raping Ottawa citizens, setting fires, vandalizing, stealing food from the homeless, harassing shopkeepers" line of BS the media was feeding you.

Now that all the lies are being exposed, you are suddenly all "nothing tying them to protesters." ?

When a fire is lit during civil unrest, the first and most reasonable assumption is that it was tied to the unrests.  Both the residents and the police speculated on this, and the media reported on it.  The only real argument you have here is that the media was all-too-willing to report on it and give it more coverage than it otherwise may have.

Even so, they made a point of reporting it wasn't and they had absolutely no reason to do so if they were trying to make the protest look bad.  It would have served their purposes far better to just pretend it never happened, which is actually how misinformation and conspiracies work.  You just talk a lot of bullshit and hope something turns out to be true, and then sort of walk away from and ignore all the times you were wrong and never talk about it again.

No my argument is they falsely accused the protesters of lighting fires and that it's not the first time they've resorted to this low level journalism. Which are facts.

They used the ridiculous accusations to gain sympathy from people like yourself and as a basis for a violent breakup of the rally.

When we point out that just because someone claims to be part of the rally doesn't make it so and there are agitators who attend these things, you pass it off as a "conspiracy theory". We now know that either 1. The lady in the apartment building LIED to gain sympathy when she said she heard the guy claim he was part of the protest or 2. He actually did say so and is an agitator which calls into question many of the ridiculous claims, such as the nazi flag, that folks like yourself ran with for weeks.

We also know the mayor and Jagmeet Singh lied when they falsely claimed one of the protesters tried to burn down a building with a bunch of people inside.

The press has no choice but to retract the story of face lawsuits but the damage is done. They chose some whacked out person to peddle a conspiracy theory about the convoy and they can claim "hey we arent the ones saying it". It's the same nonsense they do with "experts" to sway opinion. They escape accountability while running hit jobs on something they don't like. See how that works?

Because they got caught in the lies and are being held responsible.  Just not by you or the other troglodytes here who bought the lies, hook line and sinker.

Now that the lies are exposed and you went on record as believing the media lies, you're all "Let's just move on."

Yes, let's just forget that thousands of people donated millions upon millions of dollars to a cause they believed in and travelled across the country to protest and inspired the rest of the world to fight for freedoms and the government then labelled them all racists, misogynists' and white supremacists, refused to listen to their concerns, froze their bank accounts, lied about them in the media, declared a false Emergency Act to grab more power and beat and trampled and tear gassed them.

Trudeau got what he deserved at the EU Parliament - ignored and called out for his undemocratic rule in Canada. We are the laughing stock of the world and it's not because of the Freedom Convoy.  It's because of Trudeau and people like you who support his "basic dictatorship."

What lie?  Nobody lied.  You didn't like the speculation, or the reporting on it.  That's fair, but nobody lied and you're just frothing over it.

Trudeau's a laughing-stock, but then so was the Freedom Convoy.  This was a the political equivalent of monkeys throwing poo at each other.  If the Freedom Convoy was such an inspiration, it would have been successfully imitated elsewhere.  It didn't, because it was dumb.  That being said, there's really no defending the Emergencies Act either.  That was a sad chapter for Canada and, perhaps fairly, the rest of the world trolled Trudeau for his hypocrisy and virtue-signaling.  Basically they're all smirking and laughing at him now because he's so clearly full of shit.

Remember when the CRA said truckers broke into and trashed their offices?  Also a lie.

You just don't like that the lies are being exposed because ? YOU BOUGHT INTO THEM ALL ? like the giant mainstream media-swilling DERRRRRPPP you are.

I've said many times here that when CNN and CTV want to create a false narrative they try to refrain from doing the actual lying themselves. Instead they find other people whose idiotic opinions fit their narrative, and give them all the oxygen in the room.

If you were expecting CTV's article say "We at CTV are almost 100% certain that the fire was started by KKK-Nazi Trucker terrorists", that's your problem. They're not trying to get caught, they're being slimy.

Nobody lied... except the building tenants like that Matias guy who took to Twitter and blamed the protesters, the Mayor of Ottawa, Jagmeet Singh, the lady who said that the guy told her she was "pro convoy"... and the press who gave them a platform without any sort of fact checking.

Pretty sure this may be the tenants trying to sue the convoy. Will be nice to see them sued for defamation.

Yup.

CTV didn't let someone come on and say "It was Martians" or any other equally ridiculous BS, it was just another hit piece on the convoy.

They also gave the story more coverage than it deserved just because they wanted to use it for slander.

How many churches burned across Canada and we barely heard about it? But one flaming bag of dogshit that burned for 15 seconds made the 'news'?

CCCG can go to hell and take their morons with them.

You're right.  They gave it more coverage than it otherwise deserved, but it was easy ratings to bash on the freedom convoy.  The movement couldn't have been much less popular so from an editorial bias perspective, this was low-hanging fruit.

DERRRRPPPP   DEEERRRRRPPPP

CRA said truckers destroyed their offices.....lie, retracted

Govt said truckers were foreign funded....lies, retracted

The apartment "fire"....... insinuated lie, retracted

Trucker Convoy was a racist, white supremacist group........lie but you, of course, still buy it though....DERRRRRPPP DEERRRRPPP

Truckers stealing food from homeless.....lies, not retracted by MSM but lots of alternative media interviews with homeless people stating they haven't eaten or been treated so well as when the truckers were there.

And many more that have already been posted and discussed here but you ignore links that don't say what you want them to say or are not endorsed by CTV and CBC.

Go back to your DEERRRPPPPP DEEEEERRRRRRRPPPPing.

Snore.

Don't forget your MSM I.V. drip of lies and manipulation.

Not exactly.

The movement was very popular with some, unpopular with others, and as always CCCG tries to skew every narrative into something it's not to sway as many idiots as they can to their cause (the glory of the LPOC).

That's why a riot where people are assaulted, cops are assaulted, buildings are looted, and buildings are burned to the ground is called a "Mostly peaceful protest" by CCCG and a completely peaceful, happy, friendly protest where kids are jumping in bouncy castles is called a "KKK/Nazi hate festival, threatening the citizens of Ottawa, which is probably to blame for a fire that nearly ravaged an apartment building several blocks away."

CTV's low-hanging fruit are the dumbest of all Canadians, who can be suckered into following their bogus narratives and churned out as Trudeau voters.

That's sort of a truism, isn't it?  It was popular with the small percentage of people who supported it, and unpopular with the overwhelming majority who didn't.  Very good.
