Trudeau has declared war on his own people by declaring the Emergencies Act (formerly War Measures Act) for the crime of supporting protests against him.

Which country should we now seek asylum in? Biden's just as crazy. Maybe Brazil?

Seriously get a hold of yourself. It is not like citizens of a dictatorship in a middle eastern country who are being gunned down by government sponsored thugs for even taking part in anti-government demonstrations or being tortured in jails for having a different ideology even without acting on them. You have to live in one of those dictatorships to value the privileges you have been granted by birth.

Canada is a major violator of human rights. Whether it be residential schools, internment camps, or medical apartheid, Canada has its fair share of oppressing folks.

Trudeau has now declared war on those who remain unvaccinated and those who oppose his tyranny. Just another in a long list of prime Ministers committing despicable acts

Wow really. And compare that to a tyrannical leader who summons the heads of the revolutionary guards and orders them to machine gun the crowds of uprisings in the towns and cities or if they fail to totally root out the uprisings then they will be all executed for failing to do their duties. Yeah Canada has its share of major violation of human rights for wanting to safeguard its citizens based on scientific advice and wanting to peacefully remove protesters (no one has been shot or killed) whose goal is to overthrow a democratically elected government by a mob of protesters.

you want anti-vaxxers and protestors to be treated like in those dictatorships

so why is it okay if Canada does it but bad when China does it?

But the OP claims that Canada is a dictatorship like Iran and China and its citizens should be granted political asylum because it has tyrannical leader.

the OP lives in a country with a lot of people like you in it

who want the government to act that way

and the government is pandering to them

so pretending that any concerns about that are unwarranted is just silly

if you had your way, they'd already be getting the full China treatment

so quit the gaslighting that it can never happen here

You have an irrational dislike for our PM.  I understand it but if you see nothing of value in the elected government and think they are tyrants then you should be taking action not posting about it here.

?  I mean come on the guy just tripped out of the clown car to become our PM.

Freezing bank accounts if you show support for the truckers?

So many people crying about tyranny... when we literally have had trucks parked and blockading our capital for almost 3 weeks now.

This is a testimonial to how deficient the new populists are, in terms of reasoning and character that is. (I don't mean to imply they're inherently evil, just deficient mentally, morally and probably physically)

Feel free if you think you can do better, I like it just fine here.

We all like living in Canada.  We just are seeing it becoming the little China.  Increasing amounts of authoritarian actions of Trudeau, the RCMP, ect...

What a bunch of melodramatic daisies. Becoming like China. Please! Wanting to run away because of one prime minister. We replace them regularly. What happens if the people of your supposed sanctuary end up electing someone worse, where will you run to then?

I'm much more concerned with the fact that long after he's shelved by the benevolent and generous elites nothing is going to change here. I think it should be the motto of country, for a while now: change is not possible. Mutatio non potest, if the translator serves me right.

Do away with ad mare it'll be China at some point.

If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

Well the RCMP started pointed loaded weapons at the protesters in Coutts the other day.

This one seems more like economical hardship being imposed. Still vile nonetheless
