Canada at the start of Delta dominated fourth Covid wave, so get vaccinated to save lives.

Recommended Posts

Delta variant spreads like wildfire, is more contagious and may cause you to get sicker faster than previous variants.

With a new wave of COVID-19 infections fuelled by the Delta variant striking countries worldwide, disease experts are scrambling to learn whether the latest version of coronavirus is making people - mainly the unvaccinated - sicker than before.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned that Delta, first identified in India and now dominant worldwide, is "likely more severe" than earlier versions of the virus, according to an internal report made public on Friday.

The agency cited research in Canada, Singapore and Scotland showing that people infected with the Delta variant were more likely to be hospitalized than patients earlier in the pandemic.

But it doesn't according to the CDC and dr Fauci.

It doesn't 'prevent' it but it does make it harder.

So, if the vaccines couldn't stop contagion, you would still support segregation of the unvaccinated?

The unvaccinated at this point, should probably be permanently excluded from society just to make society a better place. You'd probably raise the overall IQ level of society while removing most of the mentally ill from it. So a win on all points.

The recent spread in the United States has led the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to recommend that Americans wear masks in areas with substantial transmission "regardless of vaccination status."

So, why is this particular variant spreading so rapidly? And what's the mechanism at play behind its apparent success at infecting human hosts..

It is stated the vaccine didn't help with preventing contagion for Delta. So why should you feel like we should segregate the vaccinated?

This is a very telling post. Thank you for your honesty. At least, we have the definitive proof you don't want to improve public health or decrease contagion; you want to punish a substract of society you deem inferior to you.

The vaccine makes it less likely you will catch the disease in the first place, which is how it reduces the prospect you will be able to spread it. The more people who are vaccinated the fewer will be catching it and the fewer will be spreading it.

No, vaccines don't make it less likely you catch COVID. It only decreases symptoms.

You don't seem to know how these vaccines work.

Getting rid of the willfully, fanatically ignorant and mentally ill would most definitely improve public health and decrease this and future contagions.

And yes, they're inferior to me and to most people. Absolutely. They're bottom-feeding losers.

You only have to look at the impact of vaccinations on the rate of spread around the country and around the world to see how much they work to decrease the likelihood of catching the disease. To deny that is to be absolutely willfully self-deceptive.

This is quite an extreme take. So, for saving lives, and being an empathetic person, you are willing to get rid of a large substract of society you deem inferior to you?

Yep! They're traitors to society. We've found a way to fight this damned covid mess and they're determinedly standing in the way. Screw them.

What is the line in terms of punishment you deem acceptable?

Punishment? Who said anything about punishment? Everyone should be given proof of vaccination and employers should be able to fire anyone who won't get one. Stores, clubs, restaurants, schools, colleges, hotels, sports stadiums, and any other organization should be able to ask for proof of vaccination and exclude those who don't have it. This is already starting to happen in the US.

You know you are in direct contradiction with CDC and Fauci statements?

No, I'm in direct contradiction of your bizarre interpretation of their statements. If you can't look around and see the impact of vaccines on the spread of covid I just don't see how any kind of facts, information or logic will have any impact on you.

Ok, so you disagree with what, exactly?

Let me ask you, as Coyne suggested. Are there ANY conspiracy theories you don't support? Any at all which are too crazy for you to agree with?

Yes, of course. But that doesn't explain why you said I was misinterpreting the studies.

The Delta variant is contagious, even if you're vaccinated. How is it a conspiracy theory, citing dr Fauci and the CDC?

Trudeau caused problems for Canadians by encouraging our unorthodox approach to mixing and blending vaccines.

If Trump said that it would be "OMG FOLLOW THE SCIENCE YOU DIABOLICAL PIECE OF SHIT! You just killed another 100K people!", but Trudeau said it, so the MSM will completely ignore the blatant stupidity of it.

“The data show that 85 per cent of hospitalized COVID-19 cases were unvaccinated, with only 0.7 per cent of hospitalized cases occurring in fully vaccinated patients,”

It's important to note that some people have trotted out that stat using data from the early months of 2021 when almost no one was fully vaccinated.

It's akin to saying that "Everyone who got sick or died from C19 in 2020 was unvaccinated!" No one was vaccinated back then - the 'stat' is pure misdirection.

Can't go to a grocery store to buy food? That would be something unbearable but legally couldn't happen, could it?

No.

The biggest scare from C19 is that it is the perfect weapon for governments to get rid of dissidents (like the insurgents from Jan 6).

What if one of Putin's or Kim Jung Un's doctors say to a peon: "Although you're asymptomatic, our test shows that you are carrying C19 - you have to go to a quarantine center (where people are expected to die in large numbers)."

I like how people scared shitless at the thought of getting a vaccine keep pretending they're the brave ones...

It's not "shit scared", it's "I don't want the experimental jab ecause I'm not scared of covid."

We all know who the shit-scared Karens of the last 1.5 years were...

The government should mandate vaccines for its employees, including the military. All governments should, in fact. Colleges should require it for attendance, as should schools for those old enough to be eligible. There should be vaccine passports and any business which wants to should be able to refuse service to the unvaccinated and refuse to employ them UNLESS they can show they are unable to get a vaccine for a medical reason. So the government should issue exemption cards too.

Enough tolerance. Start getting tough on these losers.

People who think that we don't need ID to vote want us to carry vaccine passports? How about if you shove it.
