Do you realize how utterly unimportant this sort of thing is? You think the Chinese really give a crap? Besides, none of that was even Trump. The law imposing sanctions came from congress and was passed with a veto-proof majority. And treating Hong Kong the same as the rest of China was inevitable. Other countries had already made that decision. Corruption abounds in politics. Moving past naive puritanism, it comes down to their political agenda at large, who they agree with, and who likes them. China did not like Trump.
