- In July 2019, China steals our infectious disease secrets at our National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg:  https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/chinese-researcher-escorted-from-infectious-disease-lab-amid-rcmp-investigation-1.5211567

- January 25th 2020, the first case of a Canadian with COVID-19 is identified. His test is sent to the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg for confirmation, the same lab the above secrets were stolen by China.

- On Feb. 9th, announced by Global Affairs Canada:  "To support China’s ongoing response to the outbreak, Canada has deployed approximately 16 tonnes of personal protective equipment, such as clothing, face shields, masks, goggles and gloves to the country since February 4, 2020":   https://www.canada.ca/en/global-affairs/news/2020/02/canada-supports-chinas-ongoing-response-to-novel-coronavirus-outbreak.html

- Since then, China has returned the favour by hoarding all of the masks its factories manufacture.  China accounts for half of all mask production worldwide:  https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/13/business/masks-china-coronavirus.html

Now Canada has a mask shortage, our healthcare workers need them.  What kind of idiot naive government does this?  François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Foreign Affairs, should be forced to resign.

Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me.  There was still room in between these for doing the right thing back on Feb 9th but it's starting to look like it's every lifeboat for itself now so lesson learned, put it behind us and soldier on. Regret is the least constructive course of action.

Screw me once?  They've been jacking us for a long time.

We walked into our relationship with China with eyes wide open decades ago.

Yes, China was exposed here, a bit too late.

So far, Donald Trump (trade war) has been the only thing coming close to strong-arming China, since the 80s. And we now see/feel what China sent to North America, to show its anger.

While I've long felt that Trudeau and his government have had a boneheaded and fantasy-like naivete surrounding China, I did hear on CTV news today that China was sending a bunch of masks and protective gear in return.

I'm generally the LAST person to defend China, but I don't think they're so dumb as to blatantly fuck everyone over that's just recently helped them.  This, they feel, is their moment to shine and take a leadership role while the US so embarrassingly flounders in its own Donald-Trump-ineptitude.

Unfortunately I also believe they're lying and they've not managed to control the virus like they report they have.

Time to stand up for ourselves, for once.

They've been helping Italy a lot.  I think they simply don't want the rest of the world to hate them.  If we hate them, some may stop doing business with them, which they don't want.

If this is not a false alarm, this is the phase of the war where the Chinese de facto biowarfare blitzkrieg smashes into Canada with devastating effect

Just to stand up could be in question

If a pandemic broke out around the US Army lab in Fort Detrick Maryland, what would you think ?

The Chinese Fort Detrick is in Wuhan

At this point, I would need proof that it wasn't their lab rather that it was

At this point I'd remind that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and that its the responsibility of positive claimants to provide it.

I'm not making an argument, so I am not bound to prove anything, my professional military opinion is simply my professional military opinion,

But I'm not giving a seminar, you can take it or leave it as you like

I cannot believe how impatient some people are to return to the law of the jungle.  It reminds me of the constant urge to constantly remind us that its still okay for bigger countries to push smaller countries around because its always been okay before.

You're arguing for the triumph of opinion over facts - no law in other words and I don't like it so stop.

I'm simply giving my opinion, people can evaluate as they like, you can prance around it as you like, it is what it is.

Eyeball asks your opinion, you give it. Yzermandias asks, and I'm crossing a red line. Whatever.

The Chinese Fort Detrick being the source of the biological weapon is a no brainer

What Canada should do about the weapon smashing into Canada ?  No idea.  This is uncharted territory, that's why I am in my bunker
