You don't have to eschew toughness, hitting and fighting, to get faster and more skilled. It's not one or the other. Nerfing hockey does not increase the skill level, it just makes it not as good. People like you are ruining hockey with your ice soccerizing the sport, rot in hell.

I know what Joe Warmington's opinions on this matter is. 

Ron MacLean got re-hired because Strombo crashed and burned. 

Perhaps Ron really believed that Don was in the wrong and regrets for not calling him out on the air. 

Don Cherry was on Fox News's Tucker Carlson last night. If that's the type of support he wishes to garner, you won't see him on Canadian TV anytime soon.

Cherry is from a long ago time, the big dman that can't skate but would just hold and hook the skilled players cant keep up anymore. The goon that could only fight has been eliminated because most didn't have the ability to play any actual shifts.

You want poor hockey and lots of fights watch the ECHL, and let the real hockey fans watch the best show off their skill

Don't have to turn the NHL into the No Hit League, because ZOMG Concussions!, to show off the skill. I think the Bruins would do pretty well. They had tons of great players who would be among top players in today's game, they might even be better with modern sports science and by getting in better shape.

Bobby Orr especially, how much better would he have been and how much longer could he have played with access to better knee surgery?

Fine by me, though I don't really have an issue with helmets. Don't have an issue with visors either, it's the forcing players to wear them that I have a problem with.

What level of hockey did you play, because you don't seem to know much about the evolution of the game
