He is a man of high standing within the community with no reason to lie, we have every reason to believe that he knows the truth, so assigning the words “unproven” to his claim is bunk. He grew up in that location, and was baptized in the church made by Brown. Likelihood = relatively high. Status, not disproven. Here’s one for ya. Go to Snopes and see if they caught Dr Ford in any actual lies. I couldn’t find any examples. For one- she said that she didn’t know that the Republicans had offered to bring a polygraph test to her.
