He literally tried to drum up hatred and division in his own country, and for what? How did he get away with it? If Smollett was a maga-hat-wearing gun-owner who faked a similar hate crime against himself by muslims, and the Chicago PD wasted thousands of valuable man-hours and a whole week chasing windmills while the MSM was ramping up the "islamic terrorism" narrative, Dems would be demanding justice. And rightly so. CNN, MSNBC, etc would all be calling out Trump for inciting bigotry and hatred, talking about how scary it is that a legal gun-owner was doing this (everyone needs their guns taken away NOW!!!! Ahhhhhhh!) Instead, Dems let him off with 16 hours community service and a $10K fine, and there's no mention of Dem/Obama-inspired bigotry. How great of a deal is that for taxpayers? They lost thousands of hours of police service in exchange for 16 hours of Smollett's precious time. They get $10K back for all the hours the police force spent on this case. That's about 1$ per hour. I'll just go ahead and guess that Chicago PD officers make more than $1 per hour, correct me if I'm wrong. That doesn't even cover the cost of the gas they used in their police cars, forget about the associated maintenance costs, the costs for medical and dental coverage for the officers, etc, etc. This is a joke and they just set a horribly low standard for dealing with people who waste valuable PD assets and try to incite bigotry, hatred and division within the country. Smollett is the lowest of the low. He belongs in the same jail with the pedophiles and the terrorists and the neo nazis. He'll be in the same level of hell if there's an afterlife.
