  1. That may be true, but just like the Yaniv case, where do we draw the line? I can see this being an issue if it was working at a summer camp, organized sports coaching, or even working at a day care. The problem with this case is: 1. The man put out an ad in kijiji looking for a babysitter. The 28 year old replies and states his age and gender. The father does not say "no I am looking for a woman under 25." He does not bother to respond. Regardless, the 28 year old takes the father to the Human Rights Tribunal, which coincidentally cover a complainant's legal fees, unlike real courts. 2. The 28 year old has tried this before, after losing a different babysitting case a few years back, appealing it all the way to the Supreme Court, which upheld the Tribunals decision. 3. Judging by the complainant's social media accounts, it looks like he has a history of nuisance lawsuits, and may be in danger of being declared a "vexatious litigant."
  2. This has to be one of the most factually inaccurate posts I have come across.
  3. In the case of Andrea Dworkin, I can see why she became a radical feminist. She was mentally ill, and knew how to game the system. She constantly lied about Men abusing her, and was celibate for much of her life, which takes years off one's life. She also blamed her failing health on imaginary sexual abuse she had suffered over the years.
  4. What an ignorant thing to say. I would love to see you work away from friends and family in some remote work camp up north, 28 days straight for 12 hours/day. Most people can't cut it. Unless you think some egghead University Professor teaching Woman's studies deserves more, while working 1 fraction of what trades people do, in the nice confines of the city with all the perks. Talk about elitism. "NOW you know why they get passed over. For someone with basically no training, few skills and little repsonsibility, that is ridiculous" You do realize it takes a ton of intelligence and effort to become a red seal tradesman, but keep on looking down upon the working class if it makes you feel better.
  5. First, it was BC resident Jonathan "Jessica" Yaniv that has been gaming the system. Now, a 28 year old man has filed a Human Rights complaint with the Province of Alberta, since he claims he was discriminated against due to his age and sex, when he answered an ad posted by a single Dad wanting a babysitter. The complainant, has previously taken citizens to the Human Rights Tribunal for the exact same thing, and lost. Keep in mind, the tab of the complainant is picked up by the Human Rights Tribunal, so it's a no lose situation! Todd said in an email he doesn’t want to speculate on possible motives but was thankful for the help after he reached out to the JCCF. “There have been many sleepless nights,” he said on Tuesday. “I did not realize that people could object to me finding out all the relevant information I can about a potential babysitter, including their age and sex. I thought I was doing what was best for my young children.” Todd, who is self-employed, said while he rarely uses babysitters, he’s reluctant to try again because of this experience. “Just trying to learn enough about a potential new babysitter can get me in trouble and I need to ensure that my children are safe,” he added. In the complaint, dated Sept. 1, 2017, Cyrynowski said he received a message 10 minutes after applying to the job posting asking for his age and gender. “I told him I’m male and 28 years old,” he wrote. “I never heard back from him since.” This is not the first time Cyrynowski has filed a human rights complaint. A similar case dating back to May 23, 2014, involved a mother posting an ad for a babysitter for her five-year-old son. Court documents show her ad listed a preference for an older woman with experience to look after her son. When Cyrynowski replied to the ad, he was told that she was looking for a female. Cyrynowski filed his complaint a few days later on May 26. The court case went all the way up to the Supreme Court of Canada where it was ultimately dismissed in May this year. https://edmontonjournal.com/news/local-news/babysitter-files-human-rights-complaint-against-edmonton-area-father
  6. I find your statement quite ironic, considering the fact that if this was a terror attack perpetrated by Muslims, all the Progressives on the forum would be dead silent.
  7. It always goes down well when the Government treats it's own citizens like second class citizens, while importing foreign labour or materials, when it's good for a companies bottom line: For example, Demosten said, he and other workers were horrified when a foreign worker took a blow torch to a propane tank to defrost it. Others intervened to prevent an explosion. "That would probably have killed him and hurt people around him. That's the kind of things these people are doing," said Demosten. Johnny Demosten and Leslie Jennings, journeyman ironworkers in the oilsands, go public about temporary foreign workers hired by Saipem Canada to work at the Husky Sunrise site. (CBC) The tradesmen also claim several Canadians with better qualifications have been passed over for jobs, while foreign workers from Europe continued to show up. "We had probably 60 ironworkers come to take the jobs from Canadians," said Jennings. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/canadians-expose-foreign-worker-mess-in-oilsands-1.2750730
  8. Those islands were very small, and the time Denmark sold the Islands was at a time where European powers were beginning to dismantle their Colonial Territories. This is a massive island that would become easily the largest state, with huge deposits of various minerals and oil/gas. Greenland residents have even come out and said they have no desire to leave Denmark, and join America. In other Trump news, he is proclaiming himself the "King of Israel" and denouncing Jews who vote Democratic as "traitors."
  9. The New York Times is not credible news. It used to be, until left-leaning socialists infiltrated it. It's nearly as bad as Vice.
  10. Insulting ones character is a sign of weakness. ,:)
  11. Well it looks like Portland, Oregon is a battleground between right wing groups and Antifa. Should be interesting.
  12. You do not see the parallels between Jews returning to Israel and overtaking Palestinian land, and Europeans arriving in Canada, an overtaking First Nations land? Instead of boycotting Israel, perhaps you should look in the mirror, and clean your own back yard. Considering most countries are or have been guilty of the exact same thing that Israel is guilty of, maybe boycott buying any good, and move to Northern BC, and live in a remote cabin with no electricity.
  13. Ironic, considering European Countries and the UN looked the other way when Arab Countries ethnically cleansed nearly 1,000,000 Sephardi Jews from North Africa and the Middle East in the aftermath of the 1948 War Of Independence.
  14. Rumor has it Jets sniper Patrik Laine may be a holdout at camp, and is unhappy in Winnipeg.
  15. What are your predictions for the upcoming NHL season?
  16. This is precisely what is happening in France. The country has the largest Jewish population in Europe at 600,000. Unfortunately, Muslims make up 6,000,000 people in France. As a result, Jews have been beaten in the streets for being Jews. You cannot wear any type of religious gear in public if you are Jewish, in fear of being mobbed spit on, harasse, or beaten by Islamic gangs. To a lesser extent, this also occurs in the UK, Germany, Holland. However, French Jews are now leaving the country for Israel and North America in fear of their lives. The French Government has repeatedly denied that Muslim Antisemitism is a problem in France, for fear of upsetting the Muslims.
  17. Shady's comparison was fair, and historically accurate.
  18. Lets not forget the PLO strategically placed terrorist cells, which were designed to launch rockets into Israel, and recruit suicide bombers into ISrael, by placing them near Hospitals, daycare centres, elementary schools, nursing homes, etc. This is why I have no respect for these people. They are willing to put innocent lives into the line of fire, in order to gain International sympathy when the IDF inevitably launches counter-strikes against these belligerents.
  19. Immigrants actually create jobs, and are technically less likely to leech off the system than Canadian-born residents. This has been proven time and time again. The only way Canada should realistically curb immigration, is to increase the birth rate by giving Canadians more incentive for having children.
  20. The Bombers won again vs BC, and now lead the CFL at 7-2. Is it finally the year Winnipeg wins the Cup?
  21. I wonder of Winnipeg will become a major international transportation hub, once the Northwest Passage opens up, and the Government builds better infrastructure to accommodate the increase traffic at the Port of Churchill.
  22. Actually Omni and The_Squid control the media now. I tried to talk them out of it, but to no avail.
