Guest
I will be very surprised if they do not come to their senses and drop the charges. It was probably a knee jerk reaction by some subordinate somewhere. I hope so anyway. I've been to Denmark. It has nice castles, but it is no longer a medieval country. Or so I thought. OftenWrong
It doesn't take much for the thin veneer to fall away. Then its time to break out the armbands, boys.

Seems likely, they don't have a history of really pursuing such cases.
Altai
LoL, this is nice. But 46 years is a bit over exaggerated. He should clean public toilets for a month.

You didn't read the entire article. He has been charged, not convicted. The 46 years is the time since the last charge under this code, not his sentence. If you go further down you will see: The maximum sentence for blasphemy is four months in prison but Mr Reckendorff said prosecutors were more likely to seek a fine. Personally I think he should be denounced and mocked. Edited February 24, 2017 by ?Impact

Some US states still have blasphemy laws, and if that doesn't stick, sedition will.

Oh, but they have, in much, much more comical fashion. Not saying anything about the terrorist actions of western nations is the new, strictly prohibited blasphemy. You just mentioned it.
