?Impact Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 When Trump demoted Christie, and replaced him with Pence he told advisers he wanted to tap Mr. Pence’s Washington experience and contacts to help move the process along. I guess Trump was afraid too many alligators would go down the drain, so he want's Pence to catch a few of them. Quote

Derek 2.0 Posted November 11, 2016 Author Report Posted November 11, 2016 I've heard three more interesting rumors for a Trump cabinet.....Democratic Senator Joe Manchin, Sheriff David Clarke and one really interesting one, carrying on with the populist theme......"Dirty Jobs" host Mike Rowe. Quote

Sworn testimony from his chief of staff and two senior Port Authority execs that he knew exactly what was going on, with the convictions coming the week before the election. There's an open "official misconduct" case against him that is being allowed to proceed as of a ruling delivered in October. There's testimony from people at the Port Authority that about the fight the New Jersey appointees put up to keep the lanes closed and to re-close them once they had been re-opened. One email warned "Albany will hear from Trenton!" which is pretty unambiguous. Only a king-sized sucker would believe that B-listers like Kelly, Baroni, and Wildstein would come up with the plan on their own. Only a king-sized sucker would believe that Christie would let the lanes stay closed unless he wanted them to. The biggest obstacle to putting Christie on trial is that everybody who could possibly prosecute the case was appointed by Chris Christie himself. Nonetheless, I really want to see the case go to trial, because first off it's a sickening and despicable abuse of political power that should make people-- especially "Drain the Swamp!" people-- sick to their stomachs. And second because I think he'd look like The Great Pumpkin in an orange jumpsuit. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

Either way, it looks like Christie is being put on the back burner, perhaps a nod to those protesting his position as chair of the transition team, now being chaired by Pence. Conway really deserves a lot of credit for this win, she out-manouvered Hillary to be sure. Quote
