What?  The Republicans are all......politicians!  Every man for himself!  Political correctness, rules!    :D

Oh yes. Those politically correct Republicans who've been criticizing political correctness for the better part of 40 years.

I must say that I dread watching the debate tonight......with Trump talking off-the cuff.

But this is history right now.....so unprecedented.

I just watched Face The Nation.  The polls apparently show that there's no shift among Trump's supporters.

They're digging in.

Trumps remarks was said in the context of women letting celebrities do anything the celebs want.....and you're already convinced that he'd actually done those things.  For me to even say that it's a double standard, is laughable, since there is no comparison between Bill and Donald. Trump was not in in any political office at that time, whereas Clinton was!

uh, actually he said he rolls up on them and just starts kissing:

Quote

You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.

If you just walk up to someone and start kissing and groping them because you assume being "a star" gives you license to do whatever you want, you're a sexual predator.

And he hasn't actually denied that he acts this way. And if he does, we all know that there people who are going to come forward and say "oh yes he did".  The article you linked earlier-- mentioning that the "Apprentice" producer says that there's way more damaging clips of Trump waiting to be released.  As a Trump booster, aren't you more than a little worried about what the next "October surprise" is going to be?

It's only politically correct to be seen on the side of women.  Everyone on the bandwagon!

"Politically correct" has become a synonym to "rational."

I think you're right about that much. He's very tone-deaf... he's going to come out and say a lot of stuff that he thinks is brilliant and incredibly damaging to Hillary, but in reality is going to make him look even worse to most voters.  The stuff he says is going to be very popular with people who still hate Slick Willy, and people who hate Hillary... but he already has those votes in the bag.  He needs more votes to win, and going all-out mud-slinging tonight is going to make him look even worse to everybody except the people who are already behind him.

It's the one who was sitting in office, that's assaulting women - that's the sexual predator.  Someone likened him to Bill Cosby.

Well kimmy, let's put it in context.  First of all, he's talking as a celebrity.

Hollywood is a different world.  You see stars kiss on the lips as regular greetings (seen it on awards night).  Lip-kissing seems nothing in that world.

Anyway, how did Trump kiss the women he's talking about (if he actually kissed them)?  Do you know?

Anyway, I kinda wonder what that married woman was doing "furniture shopping" with Trump?

Bill is campaigning for Hilary, using his influence as former President to Hillary's advantage.

That makes him - and all the scandals attached to him - fair game

Both Bill and Donald have been accused but not convicted of rape. Hillary has not used the accusations against Trump in her campaign. Are you saying that would be fair if she did? Now that Trump has admitted to his character as a molester, maybe it's even more fair than Trump using the allegations against Bill.

Why would you possibly care? Maybe she wanted a free couch. What difference does that make?

I see. Talking about grabbing pussy without consent is just men being men but going furniture shopping when you're married is slutty.

I think Paul Krugman has the call right on this one: Republicans know/knew who Trump was/is and they are dropping him now only because he is losing.

With 4:1 odds this week it's no wonder they are so bitter.

Good effort, but no. It's clear what Trump is selling here. You don't have to be "a star" to touch a woman's privates once she's already agreed to it.  Trump's telling his buddy that he's such a big shot that he can do whatever he wants to women.  He assumes "they let him" because they don't slap his face or call the cops on him.

Well, according to Erin Burnett's source, he kissed her on the lips while he was offering her some Tic-Tacs.

Why?

Is she not allowed to be in the company of another man? Maybe she was as naive to his creepiness as so many others.

Maybe she was just... furniture shopping.

What? No curiosity about what sick rapey thoughts were going through Trump's head as she was checking out the beautifully upholstered settee?

It will be especially amusing if Hillary says she's loyal and works hard in her relationships, choosing not to abandon them on a whim like Trump does.

You and the boys like to sit around and shoot the s*** about how you sexually assault women, eh? Just some friendly man talk, huh? Sorry, but every single workplace I've ever been in would have fired someone faster than they could say, "But..." if they made comments bragging about sexually assaulting coworkers, customers, or clients. Don't sit here and try to tell me or anyone else who has at least two braincells to rub together that this is normal or acceptable behaviour. It isn't. He's a scumbag and anyone who condones it is equally scum.

I didn't say I condone it, in fact I don't condone jokingly threatening someone's life - as Hillary did.  It's inappropriate, but nothing more than bad humour and I give it the same weight as Hillary wanting to drone strike Assange - none.  This issue is that we have one person making poor taste jokes toward a man and the other against a woman.

The second period starts tonight and Trump is down a couple goals, that's all we're seeing.

I have to agree with Hal on the Assange tidbit.

She didn't deny it, and said 'if' she said it it was a joke.  Somehow I don't see anything funny about that and I think it speaks a lot about moral compass as well.

2016 was a serious shit show between these two clowns.

Assange is a mouthpiece for Russian intelligence. And talking about rape... he's been in hiding from Swedish rape charges for years.

His demise would be no loss to the world.

I think it's messed up, personally.  I would never hold any woman accountable for my partner's faithfulness.

Are you seriously that dismissive about killing people who are political threats?

No ones done that though.  That's simply the deflection that Hillary supporters always throw out.  Hillary is only accountable for her own actions, and those actions aren't that her husband was a slime ball or even that she stayed with said slime ball, it's that she not only covered for it at the expense of many women, she also led the charge to slander, accuse and levy (and carry through) threats against those women.

Trump has said bad things about women, but Hillary has actually done bad things against women.

You're really no different than those you criticize.  You're equally dismissive of the terrible things Trump does.

It's funny, but other than me and Gosthacked, it seems everyone on this board is completely in denial of one candidate's sociopathic tendencies.
