We don't hear from Hillary supporters talking about her shady past now do we? So, what's your point?

Canadians keep voting in idiots all the time. So, what's your point?

That IS the point, we keep voting in idiots. That's if you think your vote actually matters.

Both Clinton and Trump have been involved in criminal activity, but that seems to be forgotten because people are stupid and don''t have a good enough long term memory.

I am no fan of either, but at least I took a bit of time to check out both of their pasts, and both options suck.

Anyone who still asks for proof or evidence of the Clinton's corruption is too far gone to acknowledge the reality of it anyway.

So we're to presume her corruption on the basis that you saw it on FOX? Sorry, but it takes actual evidence to convince me.

Trump broke a major American political and societal taboo over the weekend when he engaged in an emotionally-charged feud with Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the bereaved parents of a decorated Muslim Army captain killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq. He further stoked outrage by implying Ghazala Khan did not speak while standing alongside her husband at last week's Democratic convention because they are Muslim.

The outcry was swift and bipartisan, leaving Trump largely isolated among his fellow Republicans

...

"I am appalled that Donald Trump would disparage them and that he had the gall to compare his own sacrifices to those of a Gold Star family," said New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, a Republican seeking re-election in one of the nation's most competitive Senate contests.

Both House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell issued statements praising Capt. Humayun Khan, awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart after the U.S. soldier was killed in Iraq in 2004.

...

For the second time in a week, Trump's running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, issued a statement that appeared designed to put some space between the two men atop the GOP ticket. The father of a Marine, Pence said Sunday that he and Trump believe Capt. Khan is a hero and his family "should be cherished by every American."

And I guess that we are suppose to assume that Trumps corruption allegations are true on the basis that you saw it on CNN or MSNBC, eh? Sorry, but it is going to take actual evidence to convince me. Nothing so far on Trump.

Your predictions will fail about Trump. What Trump may have meant or not meant will go nowhere with Trump supporters. The Democratic party and their supporters are always trying to get Trump on something. But nothing sticks, and nothing will. You will just have to live with it.

You got that right when you said that our votes don't count. The only votes that count are the ones where big bucks donors give lots of money to the party. They get to be heard. We the peasants mean nothing to any of those three Canadian political party's. We are just nobody's. Just vote for us and then get lost. At least that is how I see things.

I will bet you that each and everyone of us has committed at least one criminal activity or offence somewhere in our past without us actually knowing about it. There are so many laws on the books that there is no way anyone can know whether they have done something wrong or not. Even police officers don't know all of the laws in Canada. They have to look things up in the criminal code booklet before they can lay any charges in some cases.

Trump called Hillary corrupt and a liar, and she has not challenged him on either of those except to say that she was clean. On the other hand, Hillary has said things and made accusations against Trump but as yet nothing has stuck. Between the both of them I will take Trump over Hillary anytime.

REDNECK REVOLT

Something new ... and maybe important ... maybe combined with the Libertarian ticket?

WHITE WORKERS RESISTING CAPITALISM AND WHITE SUPREMACY:

AN INTERVIEW WITH REDNECK REVOLT

White working-class resistance to capitalism, and how the white working class is being manipulated by Trump.

So, what exactly led you to create Red Neck Revolt?

Redneck Revolt came out of the original work of the John Brown Gun Club, a working group of the Kansas Mutual Aid Collective based out of Lawrence, Kansas from 2002-2008. The John Brown Gun Club focused on attempting to simultaneously grow a militant and armed culture within already existing liberatory and revolutionary movements, and attempting to stem the tide of right wing reactionary recruitment within white working class communities.

In a statement, the VFW [Veterans of Foreign Wars] said:

Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump has a history of lashing out after being attacked, but to ridicule a Gold Star Mother is out-of-bounds, said the new national commander of the near 1.7 million-member Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and its Auxiliary.

"Election year or not, the VFW will not tolerate anyone berating a Gold Star family member for exercising his or her right of speech or expression,"

I wonder if Trump went too far this time.

I understand the whole idea of not beating up on a "gold star" mother, but didn't Hillary just call Patricia Smith a liar in her interview last night?

I know you don't care, the media doesn't care either. Hillary is a democrat and Patricia Smith is white - nobody will care.

Just as in previous U.S. presidential elections, a CBC "analysis" wonk is peddling the usual American wannabe voting angle for Trump vs. Clinton:

After closing the gap on Hillary Clinton in the polls, Donald Trump is closer to taking the White House today than he has ever been before. But there is one way the Democrats could virtually ensure their party's hold on the presidency — making Canada the 51st state.

That's obviously not going to happen. But Canadians would be among the most reliable Democrats if, well, they were Americans instead.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/grenier-canada-us-election-1.3699457

Yup, the Democrats would probably gain approx. 70% of the new Canadian voters into their party if Canada did become the 51st state. I really thought that Canadians were much more conservative minded but boy was I wrong. I now know that I am living among a bunch of politically correct, multiculturalist, left wing marxists liberals who would feel very much at home in America especially if Hillary got to be El Presidenty. Aw well.

I meant that if you're assuming because I make fun of Trump, I must be a Hillary supporter ... you're wrong.

/julian-assange-says-1700-emails-hillary-clintons-collection-proves-sold-weapons-isis-syria/

So, those Hillary Clinton emails, they connect together with the cables that we have published of Hillary Clinton, creating a rich picture of how Hillary Clinton performs in office, but, more broadly, how the U.S. Department of State operates. So, for example, the disastrous, absolutely disastrous intervention in Libya, the destruction of the Gaddafi government, which led to the occupation of ISIS of large segments of that country, weapons flows going over to Syria, being pushed by Hillary Clinton, into jihadists within Syria, including ISIS, thats there in those emails. Theres more than 1,700 emails in Hillary Clintons collection, that we have released, just about Libya alone.

I am opposed to US aggression and interference worldwide, rule by a corporatocracy.

Trump is a total wing nut.

Hillary is a status quo corporate schill.

That's why the CBC click bait "analysis" is so odd, and it has been repeated each U.S. presidential election cycle going back to at least the 1990's. I can only surmise that pretending to be the "51st state" in this instance is just a continuation of the larger "join the USA" narrative that is easily found for many issues in Canada....it is just something that some Canadians repeatedly do/say....this time by the state broadcaster, CBC.

If so many dislike the U.S. and U.S. politics, why would they want to inject themselves into the process ? This is not just a Trump vs. Clinton thing, as the same thing happened for Obama.

The same can be said about Clinton. Remember, she said in a townhall that no Americans died in Benghazi.

Most if not all of those things you mentioned above can be said about your darling Hillary also. But you prefer to take your anger and mock Trump rather than crooked lying Hillary. A woman who was broke when she entered politics, and now is worth over 200 million. She also has a tax free charity called the Clinton Family Foundation which is suppose to be worth over 2 billion dollars. Apparently 85% of the money received goes towards spending on hotels, meals, airfare, parties and administration costs for the Clinton's and friends to travel around the world with. The rest 15% goes to charity. Some great deal for Hillary, but not for the people in need of charity. At least Trump has said that he will take care of the needy, unlike Hillary where it is all about her and it's gimme-gimme-gimme. Keep your Hillary. You two would probably make a great pair. I will stick with Donald Trump.

"Progressive" American journalist Glenn Greenwald [slate, The Guardian] explains why Donald Trump enjoys wide support from a significant portion of the U.S. electorate....what we already know:

....Do you think the people voting for Donald Trump because they feel their economic future has been destroyed, or because they are racist, or because they feel fear of immigrants and hate the U.S. elite structure and want Trump to go and blow it up, give the slightest shit about Ukraine, that Trump is some kind of agent of Putin? They don't! Just like the Brexit supporters. The U.K. media tried the same thing, telling the Brexit advocates that they were playing into Putin’s hands, that Putin wanted the U.K. out of the EU to weaken both. They didn't care about that. That didn't drive them.

...One of the things that is bothering me and bothered me about the Brexit debate, and is bothering me a huge about the Trump debate, is that there is zero elite reckoning with their own responsibility in creating the situation that led to both Brexit and Trump and then the broader collapse of elite authority. The reason why Brexit resonated and Trump resonated isn’t that people are too stupid to understand the arguments.

The reason they resonated is that people have been so fucked by the prevailing order in such deep and fundamental and enduring ways that they can't imagine that anything is worse than preservation of the status quo. You have this huge portion of the populace in both the U.K. and the U.S. that is so angry and so helpless that they view exploding things without any idea of what the resulting debris is going to be to be preferable to having things continue, and the people they view as having done this to them to continue in power. That is a really serious and dangerous and not completely invalid perception that a lot of people who spend their days scorning Trump and his supporters or Brexit played a great deal in creating.

Ah yes, the CBC that hates Trump but loves their Hillary. The CBC shows how one sided it is all the time when they discuss both candidates. Trump gets those gloomy looks from the announcer and always gets trashed and is treated as the big bad racist guy, while Hillary gets the wonderful nice great girl smile for President treatment from the announcer. The CBC is so far out in left field that one can hardly see them anymore. I wish the CBC would go further out so I would not have to see them anymore.

The only good thing to me about Canada becoming the 51st state is that there would be no more difference in the dollar. We would all be at par. Right now we are getting ripped off big time with this low Canadian dollar. Personally, I think that there is some hanky-panky going on here. I cannot understand how the American dollar can be 19 trillion dollars in debt, and yet their dollar is stronger than the Canadian dollar. There has to be something wrong with this picture.

The CBC doesn't even pretend to be objective about Trump vs. Clinton. Their "analysis" jackals are competing for how many hit pieces they can write about Trump before the election in November. More attention than the last "grueling" federal election in Canada.

It's all about trying to get something nasty to stick on Trump before the November election and nothing more. The left wing liberal pro-democratic corporate media hates Trump. Calling them jackels is pretty much right on.

Canadian elections are boring. It's grueling and suffering to watch. Multiculturalism and gay and transgender rights, refugees, and bike paths and especially appearing politically correct is what our politicians seem to be all about and are good for. Just my personal opinion, of course.

Agreed...but this isn't the first time the CBC has done this. It is as if they want to live the juicy mudslinging U.S. election as much as they can, if only vicariously. It it far better click bait than anything happening domestically.
