I had no idea that men are required to register for selective service. Seems kind of sexist.

Of course it is.

But men are privileged and women are oppressed for some reason. At least that's the mainstream position of society.

Being able to be drafted and forced to fight and die in a war is male privilege.

I suspect that many Canadians would do better on an American citizenship test than their own...for obvious reasons.

Yes.

I suspect most Americans would fail it....for reasons that are just as obvious.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.
